I've just finished reading the Daily 5 book and am thinking of implementing it with my class. Has anyone else used the system? What did you think of it?

Great! I'm going to get started with it on Monday. I'm really looking forward to it.

Rebecca | 1 comments Our entire school is a 'Daily 5' school Kindergarten to 5th grade. All the teachers use and love it- the students reading scores have gone up, and they love it too!

Apologies Michelle, I haven't logged into Goodreads for a while so I missed this. I see you've found it anyway. :)

I'm planning to read this over the summer because I'm thinking of using it in my classroom.

Cheryl Stoner Gutshall | 2 comments Used The Daily Five last year and loved it. I didn't start it until October, so I am excited to begin the school year with it. I teach fifth grade and the kids did really well with it. I'm also going to incorporate CAFE along with the Daily Five this year. Pinterest has some great ideas as does http://www.thedailycafe.com/

Cristina | 2 comments I have not used it, but as a special education teacher I have collaborated in a classroom that uses it. It works really well by providing structure to the reading time while also allowing teachers to do conferences or meet with small groups.
