question
who's better and why: EVA of Crossfire series or ANA of 50 Shades

M in love with the gal character EVA,shez strong ,independent and confident in a new city completely opposite to Ana of 50 shades.
but i can say i loved Christan Grey over Gideon Cross
after 50 shades of Christan Grey ,bared to you is definitely a good dose for readers.

Eva by far! I connected with her more. She seemed like a person I could get along with IRL. Eva ran away from her problems with Gideon, yes, but they were more legit reason to run. She was more open to new ideas and did not spend the book whimpering over exes 1) because she's had them herself, and 2) she's a grown woman who can handle competition.
Ana was just whiney, everything was a problem with her. I can accept the fact that she was a virgin, I cannot accept the fact that she knew nothing about sex. Having her first orgasm at 21, talk about a non explorer.
And for those of you saying "they are not comparable" get real. We do this with real people all the time, it's a freaking BOOK!

Eva hands down. She was a more believable person. She had a laptop, she had a car she lived in the real world. But all jokes aside Ana was so freaking annoying. She cried all the time and was too timid and inexperienced, not just with sex, life in general. She was 21 and never been outside of Lala Land. I can belive a 21 year old virgin, I have friends who are OLDER and still have their cherry intack, but she did not seem like a relatable, likable person. She thought she was a plain jane, yet every guy was hitting on her. I mean what 21 year old will say "oh golly" or not know how to work a new computer. Was she Amish before or something?
Eva went through her rough patch, she had at least one boyfriend. She knew who she was and had a strong mind. She didn't cry and leave because she was not familure with the style of love her current lover had on her.

I would say Eva but she has the same problem what Ana had with Christian if she had question Christian would not answer instead silence her with sex. But with fifty shades of grey it was obvious problem whereas in crossfire its a subtle problem because Ace gives Eva some answers he's a very tantalizingly character he gives you a taste but not the whole thing that's where Eva become stubborn which is good but so far all she got from Ace is 1. He killed her ex step bro and rapists
2. Who was Ace abusers regards to what happened. But that's all what I find strange is Eva made it clear she wanted honestly no running but that's what Ace does even that now there married

Eva totally!! I loved FSOG, but Ana was super annoying and whiny to me. Eva kicks ass!! :) She's so strong and beautiful and loves Gideon and doesn't play with him like Ana did.
Somone mentioned how both women need to be with their significant other no matter what, but what bugged me about Ana was that Christian really was the beginning and end of her world and for Eva she actually cares and focuses on people besides just Gideon. Ana never really seemed to care about her relationships with other people - Kate and hers friendship goes out the window kinda, while with Eva she really cares about Cary and his well-being, loves Monica even though she's kind of a nut and tries to cultivate relationships with others like Shawna, Megumi, her boss and his fiancee etc. So maybe I relate to her more because she seems like someone with a personality who actually knows how to interact with people in the real world. Without Christian, I feel like a biography on Ana would be the most boring thing in the world, whereas Eva actually has some spunk to her!
Eva of course, right from the start! But I like Ana too! :)
I agree it's Eva. I love the way she stood her ground. There's just something more intriguing and inspiring about Eva.I can relate to her a-lot more. After awhile it seemed like they both tried to help each other through their problems. I love her confidence and her perserverance. She's kind and concerned but can still be sexy.
I definitely prefered EVA due to the fact that her character was very flawed.
She did NOT have a good childhood, seemed to me that her Mother was more into the way people saw them.
EVA was layered character and I really enjoyed this series and I can't Freakin wait for more!!!!!
NOW HURRY THE F UP !!!!!

I don't think the two of them can be compared. Two totally different characters.
Eva was a great and strong female lead
she had more of a backbone and was less naive but that was due to the years of abuse. however she like Ana ran a lot in bared to you. she was also way to clingy to Cary who in my opinion is bad for her.
i liked Ana although she was a little to innocent that was the point of her character, we as readers went through her many first's with her. she was quite funny and a good person but my main issue was she was more like a 40 year old than a 21 year old.
i think i understood Ana more.
but liked Eva better however
both couples, characters and mostly the story line are different so a little hard to compare although there are similarities.

Another vote for Eva. I liked FSOG more because of the Grey character. Ana was very annoying.
Eva, no doubt. Ana's character was scared to do anything until she got behind a computer screen then she popped off and became expressive. The dialogue for Ana drove me nuts! Everything was freaking "lovely" and Christian was always "mercurial". Its hard to comprehend a girl from Arizona could talk like she did...given the background she had, not expected for a 21 year old especially.
However, Eva's character had more depth, and she didn't fly off the handle every 2 seconds. She was up front and honest about everything to Gideon (possessive issues as well as her past issues...her flaws if you will). Eva's character struck me as someone that wasn't shy about every intricate detail...she lacked self confidence, but she did something about it. In her relationship with Gideon Eva had more reasons to be scared (given her background) from being hurt...Ana was just stupid to allow herself to be beaten for Christain's kicks and giggles...umm...from virgin straight into Dom/sub relationship/arrangement.
Overall, Eva's character is my favorite from the 2.

I vote for Eva , i like lively girls that know and are sure of their place in the society, and this is the case with Eva, on the other hand Ana was an awkward scared little virgin i didn't like that very match about her :/
My vote goes to Eve! At least she got out of her private world every now and again.
Eva is better as she is not naive . She has gone through far worse things and has emerged stronger .
Ana was good too . But she doesn't have that confidence and vulnerability at the same time

Eva, definitely. People can connect with her, and really, the Crossfire series' plot is way better developed than that of 50 Shades of Gray.
Eva is a much stronger female character then Anna but they both have many flaws...However as the crossfire series went on..i found myself getting annoyed with Eva where as i began to like anna more in 50 shades as the series went on :/ i don't know..it could just be me and maybe I might like Eva much more in the books in the future who knows.
Eva is just a more well rounded character. She has more depth, she is more interesting, and as a 'stronger' female lead than Ana, she offers more opportunities for growth (of character). Ana was so one dimentional - at the risk of pissing someone off....Ana is more on par with Julianne of the Gabriel series (for different reasons). No depth, and not written with enough common sense for ANYONE who had either of their backgrounds. Eva is more of a true heroine. Flawed, but true and honest.
Hands down Ana. Eva was a hot mess of a person. I can't stand her. I can't say either series is all that good (let's be honest, it's lady porn), but this series is so much worse than 50 Shades. I can handle one messed up person in a relationship, but 2 people is too much. That's not a recipe for love; it's a freaking catastrophe.
Eva because she seemed more like a real person. Anna was too perfectly bland. Eva in comparison was beautifully flawed, and her experience also made her a better match for someone like Gideon.
You see I liked them both. Yes Ana was whiney but I loved that she stood up to Christian and I loved her innocence and sense of humor (whether it was intentional or not) . As far as having her first orgasm at 21...I was 24 before my eyes were opened to the pure ecstasy of that experience.
Eva was totally a woman of the day. Strong, independent and expereinced. Though she lacked a sense of humor, I look for that in a charater.
However, they were both similar in the respect that they were both powerless when sexual magnatism between them and Christian & Gideon was in full swing.
I do have to say that each of these women, for the most part, were at the opposite ends of the poles in every other aspect othen the sexual pull. I love them both.

Eva is the more experienced one as far as sex is in question...maybe that makes her stronger. Ana has no experience what so ever, maybe that makes her les confident in her skin. Eva is diferent, she went thru a tough childhood. Ana had a total diferent life. I can't compare them. I like Eva more because she like's to eat... I can relate more to that hahahah...

Without a doubt Eva, she's more realistic, she's been around the block a time or two. She knows what she wants and she knows how to get it. I love how she's so involved with wanting to be with Gideon and makes big girl decisions. I also love how she's half Hispanic and has a latin booty.
I like Eva better than Ana. She's stronger and wiser and of course, more intriguing.
asking to compete between eva and ana in a crossfire discussing platform will definitely give us a predictable poll result.sigh.
ana has her pros and cons and so does eva but ana won in my opinion by some points because...
1.ana is patient and is not gullible enough to believe anyone who speaks opinion about her boyfriend good or bad.she sticks to her own observation
2.does not use her (aka:ex-boyfriend in crossfire)friend(who is in love with her)as an emotional crutch or even her girl-friend to rant everything mindlessly whenever it becomes tough in her love-life.that is real maturity and fortitude.
3.considering the fact that she was a virgin at first and so new to everything sexual in life, she has guts to actually experience and analyse if not experience some scary BDSM punishments(considering the fact she does not understand that it is unacceptable to beat a sub in a trauma-therapy mind set in this lifestyle)
she might have a real boring by comparison life to eva but her childhood was spent managing a emotional mother and working to ground her unsettling childhood, so, it is not a bad feat
eva is quite headstrong and unflinching but she lost score due to her flighty response and immature handling of her insecurity.sad really she had so much potential.and i feel there are even destuctive/suicidal tendencies in her too(don't know..instictual feel:P )i tried to give her as much leeway as i could due to her traumatic childhood.
PS: i am making these observation by considering them as a character, so not including there some good and some annoying dialogues from their respective books to form my responce

Eva, but that is not really saying much because she had her moments too.
EVA!!!!!!! She's strong even after what happened to her!! She didn't just whine about everything.. And even things were bad between them she didnt sit around depressed, she got a makeover, and raised a lil hell in Gideon family's life.. :-)
Melodie has the right idea here because if you think about it, their roles and purposes in their stories were completely different.
Ana needed to be the pure and innocent little girl who had no idea what she was getting into and didn't know how to speak up for herself. her coping mechanism was to walk away (ie run), and the only time that she really took a stand for herself was professionally
Eva on the other hand has this past that's made her into this stronger woman which is really necessary in that series because we need someone who can hold their own, give it back and not rely on anyone else.

Eva is the by far the better character for me. She's grittier and more likable for me!
I found Ana to be a wimpering whiney idiot at times, but she gave everything a go... but her innocence was very appealing and I really did love her :0)
Eva however is absolutley a kick ass female!! I love her more for the 'take no crap attitude she has' She has her own opinons and i really enjoyed the way she made Gideon turn into a huge man puddle.
She Rocks the female sexuality brilliantly she knows what she wants and goes for it!
In a vote id go for Eva everytime ;)

I don't know, Eva was weak where Gideon was concerned. If I had to choose, I would say Ana because of her naiveté which I found refreshing and maddening at the same time. I would not like my daughter to emulate either.
Eve is one hard, kick ass woman who love to challange every one (including Gideon!) She went to hell (Sexuale abuse, break up with a singer/boyfriend) and back as a real woman. She's more then a pretty blond...she's one smart woman that made Ana a fifth grader!
Well, I would say Eva.
Even if she did suffer a very traumatic sexual experience she can still kick ass and she won't submit to Gideon on the first Book. That says really something as a person, and as a woman.
Ana, well, I really don't like the fact that she asked Christian for sex on their first night. Its like she's really willing to jump on Grey.

Ana was a bit too naive for my liking but not a bad character overall. I think she kind of grew on me after I read the trilogy 2nd time around.
Eva I liked right off the bat.

Most definitely Eva, I liked Ana but Eva is a much stronger character and doesn't put up with any crap!
The two are totally different so I really couldn't compare.
I like both Ana and Eva!!

Eva, definitely. Stronger, more aware of herself as a woman. Not completely led around by the 'billionaire'. I loved both series, and am dying for the third Crossfire! Christian and Gideon... yum!
I'd have to say Eva. Ana was clingy, a little too whiny and she got on my nerves often. Eva was someone you would sympathize with. She's a survivor. She's been abused and she's had a hard life, but she does all she can to pass that.
Ana was a total twit. Eva at least had self-awareness.
Eva for sure even though she kept pissing me off with the whole brett scene
I like them both and i can relate to Ana insecurities. If i was a virgin which i was once, I might feel the way Ana did jealous because i could not give him what he wanted and his subs could thats understandable.I know we all have a past but thats a lil must, what she had to put up with especially because she loved him and wanted more and he should have not expected her to because of his jealous tendencies.
