I'm almost done with my 290th book for this year (not counting re-reads, since I never count them). I'll be done with the book in time to count it for this year, but it doesn't matter if I am or not really... My goal was 250 so I undoubtedly completed my goal for 2013.

I count rereads, since they're still books read within the year. My goal was 85, and I'm hoping to finish #118 today or tomorrow.

Counting or not counting re-reads is a personal choice. I don't count them because I don't list them and read so much anyway. But I count short books that some people don't. My opinion is that it's all a personal thing, from how many books you challenge yourself to, rightt down to what you do or don't count.
