That's what I'm doing, too.
Woah, you guys are all doing so well with your challenges. I've read 43/60 books, 9 ahead of schedule

Well since I've never set a reading goal for myself before I'm only going for 50 this year. But considering I'm at 32 (not counting rereads) and really just started it in April I think it's attainable.

     David: That's great!
David: That's great!Sherry: Well done! Keep up the good work and you'll smash that goal! :)
Tracy: I think most people who are ahead of their goals are just waiting to see how far ahead they get to decide on next year's goal based on that now.
DeAnna: I don't count re-reads because I don't list them, but it's perfectly fine to do so. I mean, I do count short books, which some people don't. I say if you read it you have every right to count it!
I've now upped my goal to 150 after I got about 10 books ahead on 120. I'm 8 books behind schedule which I intend to make up by mid next week.

I'm in awe of you all - that's a lot of books! Do you ever go back and re-read your favourites at a more leisurely pace?

Wow - very inspirational reading these posts. Right now I'm 7 for 25. My first year actually keeping a goal and it has been extremely helpful.

105/180... 2 books ahead of schedule. I got up to about 8 books ahead and then had a bunch of busy weeks. Can't afford to have too many more busy weeks :)

You're all doing great! Well done!Joshua: I sometimes go back and re-read my favourites, but I don't know about reading them at a more leisurely pace. I mean, it's not like I speed read anyway, I just happen to spend a lot of time reading so get through a lot of books.

Thank you. I'm trying to keep up with Sheri. Lol
My challenge is 175 and I am 1 book behind.
My challenge is 175 and I am 1 book behind. Most of the books that I read are indie books and I tend to get through them faster (many are only 200-300 pages).

Joshua wrote: "I'm in awe of you all - that's a lot of books! Do you ever go back and re-read your favourites at a more leisurely pace?"Very interesting question! I actually have a shelf just for all the books I'd like to re-read at some point. But I only ever read a book a second time if I have a very specific and very good reason for it. I also take at least a year before re-reading anything, otherwise it'd just be too repetitive.
There is one book that I make a point of re-reading every year: Jane Eyre. It's my absolute favorite!

WOOT WOOT Jenny! You rock! And everyone else! I'm 10 ahead for my goal of 150. And I count rereads! I reread quite a few. Especially if it's been a year or more since I read the first books in a series and there's a new release.

My goal this year was 125 books. I'm at 112 right now... I hope I can keep up my reading once I start college next week!

Way to go, DeAnna! That's awesome!!!
I have 231 books read out of my goal of 250. I'm at 92% and 65 books ahead of schedule! I read a lot in August thanks to 2 read-a-thons!

Awesome Deanna! Way to go on reaching your goal already!WOW Jenny! I thought I was doing well with 212 of 250 read, but you're doing even better! Go you!
That's great Bieke! You're only one book ahead of me!
Thanks, everyone! It wasn't a huge goal, like some of yours, but I only read 80 books last year, so it seemed like a good one.

Doesn't matter how big or small the goal is. What matters is that it's the goal you set and you reached it!

Janie:
Awesome! Keep up the good work! And good idea about just seeing how far you go past your goal.
