Catalina | 2066 comments I've searched around and everywhere the Hardcover edition is listed as having 608 pages!

Mattias (mkling) | 37 comments There seems to be different prints. Several sources says 806 pages, some 608 pages, and OUP Canada 576 pages...

Could be US version is 608 and international 806. All is same third edition.

Not sure it is worth making an alternate edition if only page numbers differ?

Deon (deonva) | 3719 comments seems like 608 could have been a typing error.
and since you have the actual book...

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Unlikely in they are both Hardback (possible, but very unlikely). OUP is the publisher on both sides of the water in this case anyway, so even less likely.

COPAC gives 806 so I'd suspect that the 608 is simply a typo on one record and then copied across the web by people not checking what they had in their hand... COPAC universities I know expect the cataloguer to physically have the item at hand. Since I'm assuming the OP did too, I would go with the 806.

Either way, fixed it to match the OP :)

Mattias (mkling) | 37 comments Still, OUP themselves say 608 at us.oup.com and 806 at ukcatalogue.oup.com.

Not a major issue. Still interresting.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments I've catalogued professionally and can say we all have our fat finger moments, I suspect that's one of them for the US side ;)
