Can you provide some details about your book? Is it first or third person? What is the story about? How long is it? Are there sex scenes--steamy, explicit, erotica? Are there any triggers? Are both the male and female POVs used? Thanks.

Ember-Raine Winters (ember-raine_winters) | 3 comments Hi Everyone! I know this thread is somewhat old but I need a Beta reader or two for my Romantic Suspense novel that i want to release in January. Its about a girl with non-combat PTSD and how she navigates life when everything gets turned upside down and finds herself falling for a guy from her past. Warning 18+ There is some violence and steamy scenes! Foul language is used often as well. email me or pm me here on Goodreads or at emberrainewinters@gmail.com

Kendra (kendrareadsbooks) | 1 comments I am a book addict! I would love to be included in a beta book program. I am very detailed also so happy to help if I find mistakes missed. I read about 2 books per week so plenty of time... I had 2 back surgeries as well so reading definitely helps me pass the time. Will read most anything except sci fi/fantasy, erotica, ya. Not sure if this group is still active tho. Thanks.

Laura ~Passion flower (nature88) | 8 comments Hi Everyone,
My name is Laura, and, yes.......I love books. I think it is so interesting how authors are able to create such detailed and complex worlds on a daily basis. Kudos to every author!
I have a wide range of interests. I enjoy reading books from the following genres: Romance, Erotic, Paranormal, Western, Fantasy, Dystopia, Comedy, and NA/YA.
I love reading books with the following additional themes: LGBTQ, shifters, menage, BDSM, sports, vampires, werewolves, and Daddy Dom.
Even if a particular book didn't fall under any of the afore mentioned categories, I would still welcome being introduced to it.
I have reviewed many different types of ARCs and would welcome any that is in need of a review. I can be reached at: either GR or lzakanych@yahoo.com.
Happy Writing and Reading! :) Laura

Carrie Anderson | 1 comments I am looking for beta readers who are available this spring (April/May). My manuscript will be finished in the next 2-3 months, and I know beta's can sometimes be back logged!

email me if you are interested: carriemayanderson@gmail.com

Here is my story: Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Ives was born with a rare heart condition that put her life expectancy at sixteen. Up until now, she led a secluded life, being homeschooled by her grandmother and keeping company she could count on, mainly the four-legged type. This year, however, Charlotte is entering high school at Seattle Charter, where she hopes to keep her head down and go unnoticed, so when her time is up, no one else gets hurt. She doesn't want to leave this world owing anybody anything.

Claire Ives has done everything she could as Charlotte's mother to protect her from suffering more than she has to. But as Charlotte begins high school, her experiences expand, and Claire can no longer protect her from everything. When Charlotte finally starts fitting in and even brings home a boy, Claire worries what to do if this part of her heart breaks.

Told in alternating perspectives, this story connects the generations between mother and daughter as they let go of waiting to die, and finally start choosing to live.

Sarah (kalisarawolfcat) | 1 comments I'm setting up a Beta Reader mailing list for my next book, Fluffy Bunny (book 2 of the Runespells series). I am currently in the midst of my 1st edit, so it will be another 2-3 months before this is ready to send out for betas. But, hey, preparation is good, right?

If you are interested, you can contact me here on GR, or you can sign up here: http://eepurl.com/cwy9Ln
I will be using the mailing list to get everyone on the same page as to what to expect from me, and what I am looking for from you.

Fluffy Bunny is an urban fantasy novel that follows Nicola, who is pretty normal for a single mom and Heathen witch. Nicola is still upset over having been recruited by the Norse gods to be the "hero" for their "quest" - finding the magical pendants called Runespells, which give the people who hold them great powers.

Someone else may be using a Runespell. A new-age commune is getting a reputation for healing the incurable, and Hel, the goddess of the underworld, is pissed. She was promised souls and she feels she is being cheated by the other gods... again.

Nicola needs to get to the bottom of what is going on at the commune before Hel decides to come to Midgard and collect the souls herself. Unfortunately, the commune has a very effective recruitment method, and Nicola may not be faking by the time she's done.

message 164: by Dennis (new)

Dennis Meredith (dennismeredith) | 9 comments Good morning Kendra,

We are indie publishers, my husband Dennis Meredith is the author, I, Joanne Meredith do the marketing.

We have a new science thriller ready for beta readers, The Neuromorphs. Here is a link to Dennis' website so you can read a few chapters and see if you would like to read it.

http://dennismeredith.com/the-neuromo...

For anyone else who reads this post and wants to give it a read:

- books for betas are only in electronic form as they are not yet published.

- a beta reader is a non-professional reader who reads a written work, generally fiction, with the intent of looking over the material to find and improve elements such as grammar and spelling, as well as suggestions to improve the story, its characters, or its setting.

Warm regards,
Joni
