REQUESTS FOR BETA READERS

I'm new author and I'm looking for beta readers for my first novel. I published it on Feb 12th 2014 but I can still use a helping hand with the editing.
I would also love to read a few reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.
I'll send free copies to anyone interested in beta reading and/or reviewing it.
It's called Upside Down: 'Powerless' by Liz Gavin (Goodreads Author)
Goodreads link is https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Amazon link is http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IFMMJY0
Here's the blurb:
Carol Anne Sullivan is a tough New York
stock broker. She's suffered enough in order to learn a hard lesson - never let love spoil her relationships. Her boyfriends know that rule from the start. She's domineering and assertive but also faithful and fair while the relationship lasts.
Mark Aikens is Carol's boyfriend. He's been in love with her for a while but his submissive side hasn't allowed him to rebel against her golden rule and to tell her how he feels. Fear of losing her
forever might spur him into action.
Cindy O'Rourke has admired Carol from afar. So, she jumps at the opportunity to work for her idol. Little does she know, things will never be the same for her after that job interview.
Carol has been going through a rough patch: world economical crisis, dysfunctional parents, demanding clients, faultyequipment. Without much time for herself, her love life is suffering. So what
is the big deal if she fantasizes about a new employee when her boyfriend, Mark, can't give her what she needs? The big deal is - the new receptionist, Cindy, is a woman who threatens to turn her world upside down.
This is the steamy tale of an unconventional love triangle which should be read with an open mind and an open heart. Sometimes, love comes to our lives in unexpected ways but with such overwhelming power that the best course of action might be to surrender to it.

I'd like to take a shot at being a beta reader. I've never done it before and I just got into the ARC reading and reviewing game. I don't have a blog, but I do reviews on Amazon and Good Reads, if there's any other sites you need me to post to let me know, if you want a review. I use a kindle, but can do hard copy or on my IPad if need be, just let me know.
Nikki

Nikki and Liz - there are a couple of groups around for beta reader exchanges. Beta readers should be used before final edit/proofread, and leaving plenty of time for alterations before publishing.

Hi, Lin. Thanks for your comments. This is the kind of feedback I need. Mainly coming from a professional like yourself. I checked your website and your services have very reasonable pricing. I'll consider you for my future projects. :-)
You see, I'm new at writing books and Upside Down was my first novel, which means I'm still learning a lot. I found out about beta readers quite recently, after I had published Upside Down. But, I'm writing my second novel. I'm using this term because I don't know a different one for the kind of help I need now.
Like I stated in my post, the book needs a few adjustments and, truth be told, I updated it after I posted this, so I'm pretty sure the final version is ready.
Also, I'll need beta readers for the new book very shortly. :-)
All the best,
Liz

I would like a beta reader for my second novel. The details are below.

Hi everyone,
I’ll be completing my YA paranormal romance soon and am now polishing each chapter. Would anyone here be interested in beta reading my novel?
If you’re interested, please email me at crosswor@gmail.com and I will start sending the chapters. please put MY DEADLY PRINCE CHARMING in the subject line so I know it's not spam.
Please email me directly. Please do not contact me via Goodreads since I don’t check out my Goodreads messages as regularly as my email.
The blurb:
MY DEADLY PRINCE CHARMING
What do you do when the boy you love is afraid to let you touch him for fear you will learn all his deadly secrets?
When eighteen-year-old Iona flies to the Mediterranean island of Idylla to live with the father she never knew, she finds the island is a kind of modern-day utopia, a virtually crime free society filled with benevolent people. But what lies beneath the tranquil surface? Iona encounters mystery after mystery about the Idyllans and their way of life and is determined to unlock the secrets behind their utopia.
One of Iona’s classmates at the University of Idylla is visiting student Prince Ariston, the Crown Prince of the neighboring island Kingdom of Perdia. The two bond over their love for Elizabethan poetry and the Renaissance, and find they share a passion for reading and learning.
But not all knowledge is safe. When Iona starts developing powers of contact telepathy, Ariston must shun her, or risk her learning that he is a dangerous paranormal creature who has killed before and is in Idylla to kill the very people she has grown to love. The man with many demons to conquer realizes he is unable to stay away from the only girl in the world who can heal his mind.
Both know the other can destroy them. Yet both are drawn to each other like a moth to a conflagration. Will their obsession for each other devour them both or will they be able to survive and overcome the forces conspiring against them?
Visit enchanting Idylla to meet one very smart, witty, charming, captivating heroine; one dashing, unique, irresistible hero; and some very engaging Idyllans.
Dip into the pages of MY DEADLY PRINCE CHARMING to find humor, intriguing mystery, and an all-consuming, world-defying love.

Liz Gavin’s second full-length novel is hard to put down just as it is hard to pinpoint its genre. She has woven an intricate web around her characters that will leave readers breathless. In the sizzling concoction, this talented new author poured heart-warming romance, heart-stopping suspense, and a dash of heart-searching paranormal. Take your pick. Regardless of the literary genre you might favor, Liz Gavin’s writing will take you to a whole different side of it.
My group of Alpha Readers enjoyed it a lot while I was writing but now I need second and third opinions before I publish it. LOL
I've published the first two chapters on Amazon but the complete edition is offered only for Pre-Order. Hence the deadline for receiving your deadline must be Sep 18th.
Thanks!
Liz Gavin

Hi, my name is Sara, and I speak two languages fluently: French being my mother tongue, and English being my leading language.
I love to read, and often find myself taking notes of details that might have been left out or are out of place, it's a bit of a habit of mine! I own a Kindle and an iPad, if that's of any help.
I usually read fantasy, dystopian, science fiction, and occasionally non-fiction novels.
Feel free to message me, I will gladly give my email to whoever is interested in working with me. I don't have much experience, but I'm looking forward to improve my reading/editing/analysis skills!

Thanks!

I've written a romantic mystery and need feedback such as you mentioned before submitting.

Hi there! I'm new to Goodreads!
My second draft is complete and I'm ready for betas. Note: this novel is not yet professionally edited. I'm looking for critique on plot, setting, characters, etc.
Colors Deep is a fast paced novel about an eighteen-year-old girl named Riley, who survives a tragic speed boat accident that strips her humanity and leads her into an underwater world. There is a touch of paranormal romance involved but this is NOT the novel's main focus.
If you're interested, please contact me! I'm SO excited to finally have someone else read this! :D Much appreciated!!

If you still need someone to read your book, I would be more than happy to do so. Send me a message if you're still interested.
Heather

PS - if you reply, please make clear it's me you're replying too/my book you're interested in. This thread can get quite confusing!
Some call the First Lord, who took power through violence and keeps it with terror, a monster. I call him my beloved husband.
The rebels say our government is a dictatorship driving Britain into dystopia. I say we've changed the country for the better.
Fifteen years ago, like so many idealistic students before them, Julien and Marianne fell in love and fantasised about what they’d do if they ruled the world.
Ten years ago, long after their friends had moved on, they put their plans into action and couped the British Government at its moment of greatest crisis, ruling the new Regime as the First Lord and Lady.
Five years ago, by now the most powerful woman in the country, Marianne made the hardest decision of her life, and fled to join the Treaty, the rebels who will risk anything to see her husband dead and the regime overthrown.
Out on patrol with the Treaty, an unrecognisable Marianne is captured by the First Lord's elite troops, beaten and mined for information until the man she once swore to love and later swore to destroy saves her life and welcomes her back into the fold. But can she learn to be the First Lady again, and where do her loyalties truly lie?
Checks and Balances explores how good intentions can turn to bad realities, whether democracy is always the lesser of two evils, and whether love is ever enough.
With alternating timelines that cut between the romance and ideology of the past and the brutality and enduring love of the present, Checks and Balances juggles hard politics and big questions with a scorching hot tale of lust, obsession and betrayal.

For now it would be contemporary, and as for the sex rating... right now it's pretty non-existent, but I dont want to bring the right amount into it, somewhere between YA/NA and Erotica, just nor quite either of them.
