Vicky | 18 comments I have been wondering for abit, who here finds it easy to read long stories. Out of interest, who finds it difficult to write long novels? Who enjoys novellas and short books?

message 2: by Chandana (new)

Chandana (jadedpoet) | 26 comments I don't find it easy to read long stories.....but I have read many of them before.
As for novellas, I really like e-novellas, for no particular reason at all.
Short books................not really.

message 3: by Vicky (new)

Vicky | 18 comments I hardly ever read short books now, I find it great to read the long ones as it means the story lasts longer and there is more detail, if it was just 200 pages I would disappointed.

Chandana (jadedpoet) | 26 comments For long books, I prefer the ones that last 300-400 pages.

message 6: by Taylor (new)

Taylor Reed | 1 comments I love long books, such as Divergent by Veronica Ross. 500 pages are funner and more detailed :)

message 7: by Islam Ahmed (new)

Islam Ahmed (islamahmed0904) For me, at first its a bit intimidating, but since i really enjoy reading i dont mind

message 8: by Hannah (new)

Hannah I can definitely read 500 page books, they are the best

message 9: by Vicky (new)

Vicky | 18 comments yes they are!! the more pages the better! the first book I read that was well long was The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, specially Return of the King. It felt like that story went on and on forever, but you know what I loved that aspect of it! I used to read only short books as a child, now at 23, I enjoy much longer stories.

I can read any book as long as the story is interesting and doesn't bore me o death. I've read some books that are super long but its only because the author keeps on adding unnecessary details or is just extending the story for no reason. If its like that, I get really frustrated

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments I recently started writing a book series..and most of the books I read are 500+ pages..what kind of long books do you guys like to read?

message 13: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments It can be as long as it wants just as long nothing is repeated or it doesn't get too boring or dragged out

message 14: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments what genres do you like? I prefer the magical/religious/apocalyptic love stories..

message 15: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments I like dystopian mostly. But then there are those books that are in no random genre but you have to read them.

message 16: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments have you read 1984? that's pretty good.

message 17: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments I've heard of it. I might read it though

message 18: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments that's basically the only dystopian novel I know of...do you write?

message 19: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments Have you read Divergent? Or Across the Universe or Possession? Those are pretty good dystopians. I write stories when I'm bored and then I forget about them and never touch them again. One of my best friends is an author. One of her books is coming out soon too. She's the writer and I'm a reader.

message 20: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments I haven't read any of those..but I'm pretty sure Divergent is on my to-read list...what's the book called that she is coming out with?

message 21: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments You have to read Divergent. it's AMAZING. And my friend's book is
"The Sassy Divas" She started in fifth grade so thats why its like the Clique series.

message 24: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments it's about magic and danger and what not...since you like MI and ID you'll probably enjoy that too...have you read fallen, or hush, hush?

message 25: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments Ok, ill check it out. And I have not read Fallen btu I've read Hush Hush

message 26: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments hush, hush was amazing!!!!(: I'm reading Fallen right now, and if you care to have your mind completely screwed over and over again, you'll like that series too:p I swear it can be sooooooooooooo frustrating at times, sometimes even just an entire book, I'll feel like just excluding it from the series because it makes no sense and it does more harm than good. but i love them(:

message 27: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments Usually if a book gets too frustrating I give up

message 28: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments id I'm devoted to the male lead..he's a lot like Jace(:

message 29: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments id?

message 30: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments oh I have no clue how that snuck in there /: lol

message 31: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments lol so the male lead of Fallen is Jace-like?

message 32: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments yeah like he's overprotective, completely devoted and a huge risk taker...but he would destroy himself before he'd let his lover get hurt<3

message 33: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments Awww but Jace is probably better

message 34: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments he would be if he could fly with you in his arms:p I prefer Jace but Daniel also makes my heart throb(:

message 35: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments xD :D NO JACE FOREVER. KAYLAH I DONT KNOW WHO THIS DANIEL IS BUT I WILL CONVINCE YOU THAT JACE IS BETTER. MWAHAHAHA

message 36: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments lol trust me I love Jace with all my heart, but Daniel comes in third after Will Herondale and Jace is first:p lol

message 37: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments Oh. Well that's good. WAIT. WAIT. HOLD IT. WHAT ABOUT SIMON?

message 38: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments I love Simon too and all, but I prefer the bad boys..I guess he would be tied at third...or maybe tied at second..idk:p

message 39: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments The bad boys are always the best. Cause they're all dark and mysterious and for some reason that's like really attractive

message 40: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments it is sooooooo very attractive!!!! pok I like trying to figure them out:)

message 41: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments I know! You know they're going to have a story but then it's fun trying to figure it out. And then you wish you knew someone like that

message 42: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments Exactly! Someone like from our books that is REAL! all the guys where I live are all lame! I so desperately want a Jace!:p

message 43: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments I have no guys at my school. They're all seriously hideous and they all act like girls. It's not even funny how hideous they are. A lonely cat wouldn't be attracted to them. I want Jace, Simon, Will, and even a Jem would do

message 44: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments I think that the male characters from our books would be a perfect if included in our everyday lives(: the guys at my school are cute, but they're like preppy d-bag guys with drinking and drug problems and just idiots!:p

message 45: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments Haha. If I get accepted into the high school I want to, then I will be surrounded by angels. Almost a Jace and Will. But if I did see ace or Will at school I would probably way to scared to talk to them. Or I'd faint. Or they'd just ignore me.

message 46: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments I would probably ignore them and they'd be all like "Woah Woah, girls don't ignore me..what's going on here, oh I'm gonna make her adore me!" And we'll fall in love..the End(:(:(:(:

message 47: by Kaylah Eiramenna (new)

Kaylah Eiramenna Carrell (wearebutdustandshadow) | 195 comments oh and what high school?

message 48: by Arti (new)

What a romantic love story! And then would you guys get married and travel the world?

message 49: by Arti (new)

Arti (a3books4) | 1353 comments Kaylah Eiramenna wrote: "oh and what high school?"
