Which is better the Twilight saga or The Host?

For me personally I thought that the host was better then The Twilight Saga only because I felt I could identify more with it...although that's pretty awkward how does one Identify with going into hiding because the world has been taken over by aliens? Anyway perhaps you thought that The Twilight Saga was better. If so then why?

I have to agree with most people here. I loved the Twilight Saga but I really LOVED!!! The Host. It stayed with me for a long time. I read it twice and bought the audiobook. I know, little to much, but that's how much I liked it. i enjoyed the story very much and the characters were amazing.
They are so different that it is hard to compare them but I do like the idea behind The Host a little bit more. New Moon was probably my least fav book because of Edward leaving like a dummy and then Bella being super depressed. It was cool knowing more about Jacob but I was still for Bella and Edward.
The Host. All day everyday. Twilight was okay. So was the second book. But the rest of the saga was for the birds. She probably had a contract from the publisher for a saga and each book got worse and worse. I feel Meyer really liked and tried hard with The Host. I just hope they do not make it a movie and cast actors that do not fit the part; like Twilight saga.
The Host. I like the characters much more. And I can't help but love a good apocalyptic/dystopian theme.
The twilight series is much better than "The Host" because i couldnt understand what they were talking about when i was reading it and i liked what the twilight series was about. Twilight and the rest of the series had me interested and i couldnt put them down once i started.
Couldn't get beyond the second book of the Twilight series. This book, on the other hand, had me completely hooked. Nothing awkward about it. I was terrified the characters were going to get caught. I don't understand the 'hate' for this book. One of the most entertaining I've read in the past 2 years.
The Host is by far a better book than the Twilight Series. The Host is better written while Twilight was four books of a love sick little girl trying to get a vampire to bite her.
I think The Host was by far the better book.. I loved the Twilight Saga but The Host captured my heart.. Cant wait for the follow up books...
I liked both. The Host is the best version of a Body Snatcher story I have ever read. The Host took a while to get started and then I couldn't put it down!

I'm not a huge romance reader so of course I wasn't a huge fan of The Twilight series.
Although there's quite a bit of romance in the Host it's not as over done and blown out of proportion.

The Host!!! I liked the Twilight saga but The Host has stronger characters and was better written.
Definately The Host! I enjoyed the first Twilight book, but after that they kind of went downhill and, well, for lack of a better word- sucked. The Host is one of my all time favorite books though! I've probably read it at least 5 or 6 times! Anyone else find it a little sad that so many people seemed to be confused by The Host? I've been on several discussion pages for this book and it seems like there are always a few people complaining about it being boring and confusing.
The Host. It was an all around good book with a great story and none of the co-dependancy junk.
