ch23 - have i already said that i love kettricken?
her being pregnant, and going to battle, she sure is a feisty one! i can understand that a lot of folk and lords will get very loyal to her, perhaps more than verity will ever achieve?
a lot happening in this chapter
-one the king finally taking some stand and being 'awake'.
-regal trying to dismiss yet another attack even though this one actually endangers buckkeep directly (what on earth is he thinking of? trying the ruin a country because he can't rule it?)
-the attack being so clearly focused on kettricken. did regal pay off the outlanders to get her killed?
i'm liking this book, even though i still have some believability issues. it all seems too easy for regal.

ch25 - o-oh... even cook sara is in team regal's camp. it's not going all that well, and regal is playing it smart.
also finally laid out his plan to move buckkeep inland to his mother's old keep. makes me really think that the attack at neatbay was ordered by regal.
lastly, for a while i had the suspicion, but now i'm getting more certain, this book will not end well. it's all going to go downhill from here, is it? going to get worse for fitz, the fool, kettricken, burrich...
dead, jailed, excommunicated, what will it be?

Ha Ha! I like how you assume these are the only 3 alternatives. No peaking at the last pages!

I think part of this mess has been caused by Verity going to find the elderlings, he should have sent someone he trusted instead of him dashing off. Also all the power struggles which are going in the castle he just does not know that much about politics as regal seems to know I guess.

Ya i too did not realize that rurisk was kettricken's brother's name.

how will losing bearns help him? i can see how giving a bad reputation to kettricken will, but bearns?
kettricken is being absolutely awesome! love her.
so far i had also not realized that Verity named his biggest defense ship after her brother.
