Robin Tzucker (robintz) | 8 comments I want to make sure the book was added correctly. My website is www.robintzucker.com

I'm trying to figure out how to participate in the ad program and/or giveaway program and I'm having trouble and wondering if it's because the book isn't listed correctly.

A good place to start is here:
http://www.goodreads.com/author/confi...
to claim your author profile. You probably won't hear from customer support until Monday.

The book looks to be added OK, but I think an ebook is not acceptable for a giveaway.

There is a paperback copy. Robin, please do not change details such as ISBNs or ASINs. This is severely frowned upon. I added the paperback edition here: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...

Robin Tzucker (robintz) | 8 comments I did do the author profile thing (haven't heard back yet, but yes, it was just a few hours ago)!

I do have the paperback copy for the giveaways. Thanks for adding the paperback version. We're in the process of changing the description....will it automatically change on goodreads once we've changed it on amazon/createspace?

Amazon is NOT an acceptable source of anything for Goodreads.

Robin Tzucker (robintz) | 8 comments Actually, it looks like the description changed. So I have no idea how this works, but if it's working, I won't mess with it. If the book is being published through Createspace, that's an arm of Amazon, isn't it? I guess that's what I meant.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6326 comments Description changed on goodreads or on createspace/amazon?

If the goodreads description is not how you want, you can post what you do want in this group and we'll change for you.

Robin Tzucker (robintz) | 8 comments Thank you so much for helping me!

The description should say:
With a childhood spent bouncing between foster homes, Alissa Jacobs has always wondered what it would be like to be part of a normal family. But with a drug-addicted mom, a wanna-be thief for a brother, and a long-vanished dad, it’s not likely she will ever find out.

When Alissa learns that her mom is being released from prison and wants custody again, she decides it’s time to take matters into her own hands. Alissa and her older brother Trent head north to find the father neither of them remembers in one last ditch attempt to create an ordinary family for themselves.

But some things just aren’t meant to be and happily-ever-after may not be in the plans for Alissa. The journey from Bakersfield to Seattle is strewn with misadventures as she and Trent find themselves caught up in frightening situations, encounters with the police, and unexpected betrayals.

Received honorable mention in the 2012 Leapfrog Press Fiction Contest.

Robin Tzucker (robintz) | 8 comments Also, it is listing two versions. Should those be combined? Or if not, can the description be changed on both of them? It's the same book. Not sure how I managed to get two of them up there (unless one is kindle and one is paperback)??

message 10: by lafon حمزة (new)

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments Changed. Yes the description will show up on both editions. They are already combined. Goodreads has two separate terms: combining which links to or more editions together and displays the reviews across all editions. Second (and probably the one you're thinking of) is merging, which deletes an edition and moves over the reviews to the most popular edition.

And all is listed correctly, one Kindle and one paperback edition.
