thank you

Did everyone have a good weekend? I had a works event that wasn't much fun on Saturday night and it made me miss Dr Who - must catch up with that episode now! Other that that my Sunday was quiet. Can't quite believe May is approaching.....and so many April books to finish first, haha.

Hey Ratz! I've missed you all as well. :)

Passing through nature to eternity."
Ah! Hamlet. This is my favourite Shakespearean play.

I like the one circulating on my local radio station right now:
Live each day like Maury just told you it's NOT YOUR BABY!
Superficial, I know, but funny! And, if you really think about it, true!
That is a wonderful sentiment. Goes great with Boston Cream Pie!:XD

My daughter lives in Moore, OK but she is fine... she is one of the few without destruction... but seeing it all does something to you also....
Sending hugs...

thanks Kat.... very much appreciated.Cross your fingers we are going through more tonight
Fingers crossed for you, DeNisa. Be safe.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, DeNisa.

He's being accused of rape, clearly by someone he knows(or has at least been acquainted with), but the ridiculous thing is: he's tweeting about it! Right now!
Not only did he tweet about the cops coming to his door and what he was being accused of, but now, as retaliation, he's posting pictures of the girl, her full phone number AND where she works!
I hope for both their sakes, he's innocent of rape, but he could use some lessons in CLASS.
@JoseCanseco is his twitter handle.

It's enough they have to be out there, in the hot sun, swingin' the lumber, see? It's all pah-pective,ya hear?
Ask the former, all-wise mgr of the Red Sox, Joe Morgan! He made me SEE how very nuanced and complexed this whole topic can truly get!
Nap time: zzzz...

Denisa, just saw your post. Hope everything is good with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

There's girl and her friend that just graduated high school and are on their school Europe trip. They get invited to a Shakespeare street play and sneak away from their planned activity to go. The main character catches the eye of the guy playing a lead role, and then sees him on the train to her friend's house in London. The students on the school were unable to go to Paris for their trip, and that was one place the main character really wanted to see. The boy from the play, his name is Wilhelm, offers to take her to France for a day. She agrees, having been told many times to let loose and have fun. The day turns into a few days as Wilhelm and the girl find their way through Paris. The two seem to fall in love. After the girl sleeps with Wilhelm, she wakes up to find him gone. Brokenhearted and in a city she doesn't know, with barely any money, she calls the woman who led her school trip She gets picked up and taken to her friend She goes home and tells her overbearing parents nothing about the trip to Paris. About a year later, she decides she needs to find Wilhelm and find out what happened. She saves her money, takes French lessons, and sets out for Paris once again. Having little luck there, she goes to Wilhelm's friend in the city, where she is told to look for him in Amsterdam. She goes there and looks and looks until finally finding an ex girlfriend of Wilhelm. It seems like a dead end. She goes to a Shakespeare play with her friend from the hostel. In it, there is Wilhelm. She tries to go to him after the show, but sees him with another girl. Later she summons the courage to go to his house. He opens the door, and shock registers on his face.
I'm not sure if this was a part of the book or the "teaser" for the second book, but the girl finds out that Wilhelm went to get the two of them breakfast and ran into a group of guys that Wilhelm and the main character had had problems with before. He was injured badly and taken to the hospital with partial amnesia. By the time he got out, Th main character was long gone.
If anyone has any information that would help me find the title of this book, please let me know. Your help is very greatly appreciated!

Hi Lindsay, do you remember any more specific details like names of other characters, where the main character is from, stuff like that? When it was published, roughly?
If you can think of more keywords, you can try the google advanced book search: http://www.google.com/advanced_book_s...

If you post your query there you'd probably have more luck.

I just stumbled across this thread and thought it might be the perfect place to pose a question I have. For those who own eReaders/tablets, what do you usually use them for? Do you use them mainly for free books, discounted books (ones you don't want to pay full price for), or all books in general? The reason I ask is because I own a Kindle and I'm torn between purchasing physical copies vs eBooks. I love having a bookshelf full of books, but I also love reading on my kindle. What's your opinion?
If you feel like voting, heres the poll: http://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/85547

I have owned my kindle for 3 years now and before I had it I was a hardcover only kind of guy. I swore I would never get an ereader because it wouldn't feel the same as a regular book. After constant suggestions from my friend I bought a kindle, and to this day it is one of the most precious items I own. It is just like reading a regular book (assuming you get a regular kindle not the ones with the LCD screen) but more convenient and easier to use. I have so many books on my kindle both read and books I still have to read and it is easy to read more than one book at a time. Also you can bring the kindle almost anywhere and read whenever you want. The best thing is that purchasing the books is so EASY!!! You can purchase them from home with only one click and you get them I'm seconds.

If you get the kindle that only costs about 80$ it doesn't have the LED screen and does not have light. It is almost like reading a newspaper or a regular book. I also get headaches reading screens that are lit, but the regular kindle is not at all like that. I hope this helps!

Thank you. I will check this out. This sounds like what I am looking for.

Michael, I have the Kindle Keyboard and I really do love it. The color of the screen, combined with E-ink, makes you believe your reading from an actual book page.
Ceasar, do you still purchase physical copies of books you really enjoyed or are you strictly eBook only now?
