I have written a new book Invaders in Our Town: The Story of the Battle of Gettysburg Through the Eyes of Some Who Lived It.
My book is about some of the civilians who endured the battle. I wrote it as an historical fiction work, where the primary characters are all actual people, and I build the story upon actual events that occurred to these people from June up to July 3rd (the final day of the battle). I included several fictional characters to add drama to the story.
It is written using a significant amount of conversation between the characters, with the events the lived, and the battle, as the backdrop, which allows these people to come alive. In this way you really get to know them and not just explore them from a distance. It is a fun read.
If you are interested, feel free to check out my website devoted to this new book at www.invadersinourtown.com.
I would also love to have a review in the event you decide to order and read it.
Thanks and I hope you take a look at the website and the book.
Sincerely,
James Faber
