[Edited for clarity!] So of the [top authors that are] new to me authors, I have [ not ] read Jeff Shelby, Ellery Adams, Matt Rees or Jenn McKinley. Any suggestions for which ones to try?
Ahhh, after editing my original intent is much clearer now!! Thanks for asking, Carol!
Ann, did you mean to post this under the 2012 Results New-to-Me Authors topic? I can move it there if you did.
Hmmm I guess I meant to say "of the top authors that are new to me" Carol! Thanks for offering to move my post. I was thinking if they made it to top author status I should check them out. (like I need more tbr books)
I am familiar with most of the list, but a few I was not. ;-)
Ok, Liz - thanks! Joe Tyler series, Noah Braddock series, or stand alone? LizH wrote: "Ann, go with Shelby!"

Noah Braddock for sure. GREAT books! He also has 2 cozy type mysteries written as Jeffrey Allen, STAY AT HOME DEAD and POPPED OFF. They're really fun reads with some great one-liners in them. Ellery Adams & Jenn McKinlay both write cozies. I've only read one of Adams series, but really liked it. McKinlay has 2 that she writes under that name and both are among my favorite series. She also has a series she writes as Josie Belle. I like it, but not as much as the other 2.
Matt Rees is the author of a series about a Palestinian teacher in Bethlehem who desperately wants peace because the constant state of conflict is ruining the lives of the young people that he's teaching. He's also solving mysteries. In the first one I read (which is not the first in series) he visits his son in New York. Since it doesn't take place in Palestine, it's very different from the others and I think it can be read as if it were a standalone. I recommend starting with that one as I did. It's called The Fourth Assassin: An Omar Yussef Mystery. The first book in the series isThe Collaborator of Bethlehem. I've been really impressed with this series. I've also read his book in which Mozart's sister believes that her brother was murdered and sets out to investigate. It's Mozart's Last Ariaand I thought it was really good.
Liz, Melodie, and Shomeret: Thanks much for the great info on these new to me "top authors"!I'll start looking for them at the library and add to my wish list! I like sprinkling in new authors during the year to add to my variety.
Anyone see this? A Kindle Fire HD from one of our members ... http://seeleyjames.com/2013/02/11/hit...
