Bayard Rustin was a civil rights leader and a strong gay man. He put up with going to jail, to lossing jobs, and being marginalized. He kept going on, and on, and on. We are blessed by John D'Emilio's writing.

As a LBGT man of color I'm still disappointed that many in the black community don't truly know about his contributions or even worst, don't care. The movie "Selma" was typical of all Civil Rights movies, Rustin is regulated to a footnote...sad.
