I like Tobias, because it represents his troubled past, one that he has overcome in many ways((:

Exactly, the name Tobias truly embodies who he really is.
Yeah!!! and I think its events better that he only wants Tris calling him by it like she's the only one aloud to see him as he is.(:
Yes, precisely! Tris is the only person he's ever been able to open up to before. So it makes their connection even more powerful by him revealing that part of him to her. But also, it was frustrating in Insurgent when Tris would have a tantrum and start calling Tobias, "Four". It's like chill out and don't use that name against him!
really?! I haven't read Insurgent yet..in fact I just got it from the mail two seconds ago(:
Insurgent is a good read, however Divergent is a lot better. It's still a very good book though!
Tris' character just really annoyed me throughout the novel. All of the lying and arguments between her and Four was very annoying. I really hope their relationship improves in Allegiant
Four because it is mysterious and makes you wonder about him and why that's his name. Tobias is more proper and I guess I just like the meaning behind four better too.

Yes. At the beginning Four seems super invincible and such but then as the story progresses you see that vulnerability in him and the selflessness start to slip in.
Four! It adds a touch of class and mysterious ness
Four!!! Tobias sounds soo Abnegation and even though he is abnegation born, his character is far from abnegation. Four is more dauntless and I love that about him.
He's a mixture of both. But he is the old kind of dauntless, not the thrill rider people who run the faction run Tris joins.
Four makes him seem more powerful but Tobias makes him sound more down to Earth I guess. I like both :)
I like both but since four was his name at the beginning of the book I naturally would say four
Four, without a doubt. When you hear it, you know there must an awesome story behind it.

I like Four. Just because it has some mystery to it. But that is all in my head. LOLOLOLOL There is a WHOLE lot to Tobias we don't know. ;D
I think both of his names give you an idea about what he's like as a person. The name Four is a rebellious and mysterious and 'tough guy' name, which is how he sometimes comes across, but Tobias seems like a softer name and it shows you the side of him that was damaged by Marcus and the way he is with Tris, the softer side of him. So, I like both names, but, if I had to choose, I would go with Tobias, I like that side of him better. :)

In normal conversation I used the name Tobias because that's who I believe he truly is. Four is just a mask, the outside layer of him. But Tobias is who he truly is.

I love both. But I like Four a bit more cause its sort hot and mysterious...then I like Tobias cause it's the real, sweet him.

Four is way awesome when you read it and say it out loud.. tobias is only cool when you read it.. maybe im crazy (anyone have this too)
I like four as well but Tobias because it's what - in the beginning - he only told Tris which made it more personal and we readers are verey close to him. Therefor I like Tobias better :)

Four, but I'm more indifferent than anything. Both are great and I love the idea that only people really close to him know him as Tobias, but Four is such a badass name haha

I agree with you Emilea. What I meant before is that Four was good in the first book and maybe the second. I just finished Allegiant and Tobias is so right in that book. The more Tris and Tobias learn about each other, the more right Tobias seems.
I like Tobias better because it is not his dauntless nickname it shows more of who he his and I love the unqunice

Tobias!!!! If I had a son I would name him Tobias, I think is great name.
