HAVING A HARD TIME.....

im 50% into this book, everyone has told me how "awesome" it is....anyone else have a hard time getting into it??

In my world, 50% isn't the marker for getting into a novel, it's more like 1%--sometimes less if the author is good at grabbing attention. By the time I'm at 50%, I figure I'll just read it quickly and get it over with at that point.

If you are not clicking with the book and don't have a problem putting it down and coming back to it later, then I would suggest doing that. Sometimes we just aren't in the right place for some novels. (I speak for myself here.) You may come back in a few months and really connect. You may not.

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time, but don't torture yourself!

I read it and liked it but I do understand why people had issues. The heroine irked me at times. Though based on the subject matter, I'd be surprised if she was all sunshine and sweetness, so I got passed it and kept reading it.

I enjoyed the book. But, I did put it down and then went back to it later. The ending was not what I was expecting.

i agree this book is rough - but i figured out the ending early on & just kept thinking NOOOOOOOOOOOOO over & over.

I really enjoyed this book. Although I didn't forsee the events coming out the way they did. I absolutly loved the characters and I am looking forward to the next book coming out. I just hope it doesn't take too long to be released.

I enjoyed this, it certainly surprised me at the end. Had no inkling. I knew something was up with him, but my mind just didn't go there. I was glad I gave it a try.

i loved this book but i must say i guessed trent was to do with the car crash way before it was reveiled it was just kind of predictable but still really enjoyed it

Sorry you had a hard time. I agree that sometimes you're not in the right frame of mind for certain novels. This in particular is not sweet and easy. It's hard but it was awesome. There are parts in this book that just blew me away emotionally. I say try again another time.

I really enjoyed it, but I guess the beauty of reading is that it's so subjective. There's books that have rave reviews that I just haven't been able to get into at all, and others with average reviews that I've really enjoyed.

I didn't like this one much either. I didn't like Casey and I wasn't at all interested in all the female interactions. I figured out the twist pretty early on. The resolution at the end happened too quickly for me. It was just meh all around. And I never figured out what "10 tiny breaths" meant....
