YES, My Free copy of Lullaby!!! I can hardly wait!! Argh, I need ATLEAST 10 more hours a day just to read! (this audio book is taking me so long I might just switch to the paper book!)

I think Amanda Hocking is a great writer so I think she'll live up to our expectations! Plus, this one is a series too, so we can keep going after the first one.

Yeah, I've listened to ONE audio book. It just takes wayyyy too long. Especially, as fast as we read!

I CAN'T WAIT!! I've also heard this series is great but geeee look at that cover!!! Lets hope the book turns out good, I don't even think there is anything I dislike more than a book with a beautiful cover but horrible story..it's such a shame :/

I've read a couple of Amanda Hocking books so far and while I wouldn't say they are the best written books I've ever read, they are always highly entertaining and I am willing to keep reading them for that alone! :) I think we'll like this one!

I haven't read anything by Amanda Hocking...yet so I'm hoping this makes me want to continue the series and check out her other books too !!

Same, I just stopped at chapter 12. It's err ok so far, although I feel like I'm a little lost..like Wendy is barely getting any info from the others so I'm as clueless and curious as her and its so frustrating. Finn is so frustrating too, he seems so difficult ugh. whatever, there's an explanation to everything hopefully.

What did you guys think of (view spoiler)[ those "evil" trylle people? The girl and the guy that attacked Wendy? (hide spoiler)] they're the bad guys I'm guessing..so Wendy is most likely (view spoiler)[going to meet them again. (hide spoiler)]

Also, I don't like (view spoiler)[her real mum. Elora, ugh she's ugh. What is wrong with her? Couldn't she at least show some affection? She's her freaking daughter and she has been gone for so long and now that she's back, she's only worrying about if Wendy could be capable of taking her position if necessary. (hide spoiler)]

Did I also mention how I find it ridiculous how Finn is getting exasperated with her because she keeps asking questions, I can't blame her, I thought he would be the more understanding one. And on top of all that he's so dense I can't even..

Yeah, this book is...kind of odd so far. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm just having a tough time with the book.

It seems to jump around - first we're finding out she's kicked out of every school and she describes all these incredibly stupid and selfish things she does nd then she talks about how bad she feels about it all and then she is selfish again and doesn't want to help her brother with the yard/garden...even though her making them move...again...is the reason he doesn't have a job.

Ugh, I just already don't like Wendy :(

I hope I like her soon because I don't tend to enjoy books where I don't like the main characters...

I have 5 chapters left because I couldn't be bothered reading anything but 2 chapters after having read 12 the day before. It's just so meh. I'll finish it today, later though.

I read this book back in late 2011 and I remember liking and thinking it was definitely different from other books. I got around to reading the other two books to the trilogy earlier this year and more things are explained, but I didn't like them as much as the first one (and had to push myself to finish reading them). Wendy's real Mom is further explained in the later books and you find out more about her personality and why she treats her the way she does. The last book has a little bonus story at the end that pretty much sums everything up to. Thinking about it compared to other books, I'd have to agree with Trisha that it's pretty Meh.

I'm a bit shocked, I don't think I've ever put a book away "on hold" for so long....I promise to have it done by tomorrow, I've only got a couple of chapters left now that I've read a couple more + I have another book to finish today.
