This needs to be combined with this. This seems to be a duplicate and I think can be deleted.

This needs to be combined with this. However, the latter book is the British version of the novel which isn't entitled Mistborn: The Final Empire; it's simply entitled The Final Empire (as such the title should be changed on the latter).

On a related note, I was under the impression that if one clicked 'Other editions' on an entry for a book and then clicked 'add a new edition' before adding a book, the new creation would already be combined with the first one. However, this clearly isn't how it works, since I did that with all of the above and they all appear to have failed to appear as an edition of the work. What am I doing wrong?

For the first link, I combined the books because some data are missing on two books page. Like that anyone can complete the books page if they have the data.

You aren't doing anything wrong. You did right.
When you add a book, the new edition is not automatically combined. You first create a new books' page by clicking on "add a new edition" and then you combine.
So you can create the new book page, and then you put here the link of the new book and the one with it has to be linked and a librarian will combine them.
