Brenda Clough You have to enjoy Rendell's work, because this book is very typical of her later stuff. Allusive, elliptical, and indirect.

Lobstergirl This wasn't a very good novel. I did finish it because I wanted to know the story arc.

If you find Grace unlikable, though, wait til you encounter Maud.
