yea i think i like Christian cuz he reminds me of some of my other fav characters (Jace from Mortal Instruments, Will from the Infernal Devices, Damon from Vampire Diaries, Lord Maccon from the Parasol Protectorate)....lol
P.S. if u havent read those series, please do, they are amazing, alothough id reccomend watching the vampire diaries over reading it, the books arent that great after the first few

I have read Mortal Instruments, I loved it. I liked how it ended because you know who got was able to be together.
Lissa does rely on people alot, but she is a great leader and can do things herself as well. What is friendship when you can't lean on them when you are weak? It's give and take. Lend and borrow.
She needs rose, but rose also needs her.

i fell the same exact way about Vampire Diaries! the books get REALLY boring! the show is more suspenseful and easier to follow!

i know, i mean we all lean on others sometimes, but i think the part of her that i relle didnt like was at the end of Shadow Kiss where she tried to use compulsion to make Rose stay...i mean i know the whole "find dimitri" thing was dangerous but it was something Rose needed to do, but Lissa did eventually redeem herself with bringing Dimitri bak...and now shes a queen and all that...but there were parts in the series where i saw her as really selfish and having petty fears, although compared to Rose's life, everyone's fears seem petty..lol

I do see at times Lissa was selfish. I admitt that, she didn't understand how Rose felt about somethings. She grew up with Rose always protecting her and the whole life is all about Lissa, Rose dedicated her life to her and that got Lissa use to it and didn't want/expect anything else. She wasn't use to be the second of Rose's attention. Rose was focused on Dimitri and not Lissa which had Lis selfish, jealous even though she might not know it, and also she was sad and depressed Rose had left her like that to go on a maybe impossible journey that could kill her. She was scared she might not see Rose again. If my best friend wanted to go off on a journey to find there strigoi friend who they loved very much I would want to use compulsion on them to if I could becaus ethat is so dangerous and I wouldn't want to lose my best friend. When it comes to those I love I do all that I can to keep them in my life, that can be viewed as selfish I can see that but it's because we love them with all of heart to where it hurts if they're gone and you would give upanything, do anything to keep them there with you where you know they are safe. I can see it both views I suppose.
While reading the book I wanted ROse to leave and find Dimitri, I felt the way she did. But then I looked at it from Lissa's point of view and saw it her way as well.

The movies were good, and I liked the earlier series, La Femme Nikita. How is the new series compared? Roy Dupuis from La Femme Nikita would have Dimitri-lovers drooling, he has the Eastern European feel during the tv show and that rugged look.

ehhh Ben Barnes is better looking in my opinion..
and i think its great compared to the earlier series, but mind you, i've only seen a little bit of the earlier series so i cant really judge..
but the energy is great and its the story of Nikita after she escaped Division so its a nice twist and continuation of the original story..you should watch it

well that case wasn't exactly pertinent to the quote cuz she was keeping a promise by going after him..but you know what my biggest "What If" in VA is? What if Rose had turned Strigoi..would Dimka hav gone after her? Would he have killed her at first sight, or would he have let himself get captured by Rose...Would he have worked so hard to find a Spirit cure? would he hav gone to his hometown..? it makes u wonder..but i hav a feeling that if Rose had turned, Dimitri, being the badass he is, would have killed her on first sight..

yea, the actress Maggie Q, was actually trained in martial arts by Jackie Chan for 13 years, so shes pretty amazing...

I don't like how they changed a lot of the fundamentals of the show.

Nikita was a blonde.
It was Section 1 and not Division, Section 1 being important because it represented a web of Sections.
Nikita had not fled Section 1, she did not fall in love with a civilian who was killed.
Birkoff wasn't such a tool, he was a geek who got in over his head and working under duress.
They changed the characters running Section 1, and alot of the personality, though this Michael isn't too bad, the other Michael was more of a silent Eastern European badass where this one is more of an American badass.

So pretty much they retconned the series, and I always hate it when they do that to a series. Still bugged about how many times they've Retconned Spiderman and Superman without a decent explanation.

Today i'm going to go watch beastly with a friend from work and I bought the book yesturday so I'm going to read it before school ends so I can compare it to the movie.

So far i'm on page 55 and I do not like the main guy. I know he's suppose to be like the beast in beauty in the beast and be selfish and conceited, but I just don't like the main charcter (which is the guy I thought maybe it would have been the girl) Anyways, he's such a jerk, only cares about himself, only person he loves is hiself, and I just don't like how he is. It kind of reminds me of adrian though...his cocky attitude and all. But this guy is worst. I'm on the part where he gets changed to a beast, I wasn't wanting to put a spoiler of the book but come on who doesn't know that about the book even if you haven't read it. It's on the back too.

well yea because hes really good! but i dont think she would have traveled to his hometown she would have went somewhere else. so they would have never met Mark so they would have never heard about changing Strigoi back! Dimitri would have had to kill her!

well u cant expect it to be the same, but i like this new version..i mean yea ik there are changes but i guess they change them to fit the time period and i think the reason they changed names is because they wanna focus on Nikita and her trails rather than the heirarchy of the organization and all the other technicalities..
and yea i mean i keep getting annoyed at all the reboots that they do with the superhero movies, but some turn out be decent and while some ppl might still love Christopher Reeve as the man of steel, modern society wants familar faces like Tom Welling and Henry Cavill to play those beloved roles...

I ended up not being able to watch it because my co worker's car broke down so we have to watch it next week. So far it's okay. I'm not finished with the book but I always like to read the book first so that way when I watch the movie I can relate things, b ut the con of that is watching the movie afterwords you get dissapointed and if you watch the movie before then you already have a thought of what everthing looks like and not your own imagination but rather the people who made the movie's imagination. So if you want to read the book at all read it before.

same, i like reading before watching..it allows u to interpret the text in ur own way and really get into it...but the downside is, the movies rarely live upto my representation...

no, i think Dimitri is too strong for that and he has strong morals, i think he wud kill Rose because he believed it was his duty and he was keeping a promise..and i think making Dimitri strigoi worked out in the end when Dimitri needed to call on his old contacts to find Sonya and whatnot..and i think if Rose had turned, everyone, Adrian, Lissa, Christian, Dimitri and who knows who else wud have gone looking for her..and that might hav created some problems...

they would always be thinking about killing people and being the best! they would always plot ways to kill people. we wouldnt want to read the book because we feel just like rose and everyone else does. we think strigoi ways are wrong and we would all hate it!
