Voldemort or Umbridge?
Actually both are equally bad bt Voldemort's character is a bit more interesting !!! bt then he was the reason fr all the deaths so I'd hav to say Voldemort !!!!bt Umbridge shud hav also died !!!!
Absolutely Umbridge! Like Mini said, Voldemort is a lot more interesting and if she could, Umbridge would have killed people!!
Actually yes, if I recall Umbridge was trying to use the Cruciatus Curse on Harry to make him give away DA's secret. But I think u all hav to agree that when Voldemort died there was this strange feeling of triumph which explains our connection with the series. Agreed that t wld hav been so nice had Umbridge died since even Bella was finished off by Molly.
Well, this question comes at a very great time for me, since I'm rereading Order of the Phoenix now. I'm rediscovering my hatred for Umbridge. I have to say, I hate her more, but Voldemort is more interesting, what with his back story and everything. At least you find out why Voldemort is the way he is. We know that Umbridge is doing what she does for political reasons, and to have control over Hogwarts, but we don't know why she is the way she is. Still, I hate her more. Between Umbridge and Bellatrix...J.K. Rowling has the evil woman villain covered. That's for sure.
Psh, I hate Umbridge more! At least Voldemort had a molecule of a brain...not that I liked him but still...ugh, Umbridge.
Hey, at least Umbridge didn't KILL anyone, right? (Side note: I am NOT supporting Umbridge. I despise her! All i'm saying is that Voldy IS more evil than her.)
umbridge definitely. her character is just so annoying and drives me crazy. voldemort i mean hes the villain and i love his character. he has this cool sense of yea i know im the best i have all the power whatever. igh but umbridge...let me just make everyones life a living hell for no damn reason. at least voldemort has a purpose!
Id say umbridge since she is pure evil and voldemorts hatred was created by the way he was treatedtreated
Wynter wrote: "Hey, at least Umbridge didn't KILL anyone, right? (Side note: I am NOT supporting Umbridge. I despise her! All i'm saying is that Voldy IS more evil than her.)"I totally agree. But Umbridge still isn't any better. Both were evil, Voldemort was more.
Umbridge seemed scarier in the sense that she held a position of authority in the Ministry. She abused it and it took so long for anyone to notice. When she was finally booted out of Hogwarts, she went right back to the Ministry without missing a beat.
I hated them both for different reasons. Voldemort was horrible- he was violent, a murderer, bloodthirsty, just terrible. But Umbridge was a monster in her own way too- her quills that made kids write in their own blood, that's nasty. And they were both racist.I guess I hate Voldemort more though...
I hated Umbridge more because she made it harder to defeat Voldemort...you have to solve all of the small problems to get to the main root of evil...plus I just wanted to puke at the sound of her!
Umbridge, because although Voldemort killed all those people, he was just like Harry, growing up without parents,
Umbridge.I expect Voldemort to be evil because, hello, he made made people not even want to call him by his name.
But she was directly responsible for the student's welfare. Her job was to guide, help, & protect them. Instead, she chose to abuse, control, & mistreat them. She abused her position of authority over children & that makes me loath her more.
Umbitch! I hate her! At least Voldemort was interesting character...and without him, there wouldn't be a story about Harry. And for many more reasons I simply hate that b?&~%!Me-hating pink colour since Order of The Phoenix
as a creature I prefer Umbridge because she wasn't a mass murderer but as a character I prefer Voldemort since he as a much more prominent role in the book and he has a better back story
Umbridge is so evil because its evil you can believe. Voldemort was some super hitler-esk character that although we can look back to history and recall not many of us have known personally anyone like him. Umbridge on the other hand everyone has meet someone just like her. I think Umbridges action although less murderous than Voldemort's genocide, really helped us relate to Harry's plight. I think we all know a back stabbing B!!! Like Umbridge and she rubs all of us so much more because of it.
Umbridge. Voldemort had reasons why he kill/harmed people. Umbridge did because of her position to minister and she agreed with purebloods.
I'd say I hate umbridge more, because she basically enjoyed torturing people, and although voldemort did too, he didn't try and get away with it in secret. And if voldemort wasn't there, we wouldn't have any harry potter stories...
I hate Umbridge more because i think she's actually more evil. I mean if she seriously gives Voldemort competition on the evil scale. And the way she's so downright cheerful is plain creepy.
Definitely Umbridge! She tortured people with quills and discriminated the centaurs and Trelawney :(
Does anyone even know why the Ministry even kept Umbridge? I mean come on, Harry showed Scrimgeour (view spoiler).
Umbridge made me super angry. I don't even think she was portrayed half as evil in the movies as I pictured her in the books. Terrifyingly scary, and I seriously wanted her to be tore to pieces by the centaurs…and was quit disappointed when she returned.
Umbridge is the devil just because she fakes being nice. Add up to your malice, woman! Voldemort is honest about how much he wants to kill Harry. Plus, he always waits to try after exams so Harry can study. Aw, he cares!

I'd say Voldemort since Umbridge didn't kill anyone. She might as well have been a hag but she wasn't a murderer.
