Linda (sahi) | 2 comments Yesterday I saw a summary of the coming season of the 'Tegenlicht' documentaries. One episode will be about Ricardo Semler and the Semco way. His vision is sort of an Agile++ way of running a business. And they mentioned that he'd written a book. This morning I found out he wrote several. Has anyone read any of them yet?

Yves Hanoulle | 2 comments yes. I read maverick. It's a wonderfull book to read. It's rather popular in the agile world.
(and it's at least 10 years old)

Evan Leonard | 1 comments I haven't but I know others have. His work has been around a while and relates to what's know as the "theory of constraints" or "ToC"

Linda (sahi) | 2 comments Oh, I have no doubt the books have been around for a while. They mentioned he's been running the company like that for 30 years. I was mainly wondering if it would be worth my time to read any of them, and also wondering if people in the Stoos movement had already heard of him.

Ilja Preuß | 1 comments He is certainly one of the pioneers of stoosonian management. Look for him on YouTube - very inspiring.

I've read The Seven Day Weekend and found it very inspiring. A friend has read Maverick and said the same. He also said that reading The Seven Day Weekend next didn't bring much new to him.

Bernd Schiffer (berndschiffer) | 1 comments I read Maverick. Gave it 5 stars. It's very inspiring and I wouldn't want to miss it in my collections of books I read.

Alberto Brandolini (ziobrando) | 1 comments Definitely a good one. Good insights and good vibes. Never thought a management book could put me in such good mood. :-)

Richard Howes | 1 comments Brilliant books, read them! I have been encouraging people to read them for many years and re-read them every now and again. You won't regret it.
