Just as the first time I saw it, the title made me think of my Philosophy of Mind class that I had in undergrad. In fact have been thinking about it a lot given the (view spoiler) .
Anyway, this was also the class that I was introduced to Ray Kurzweil and the idea of "the singularity." Wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the singularity with regards to the (view spoiler) .

Interesting video--thank you for sharing. Particularly as it relates to the Ghost Brigades and the transfer of consciousness after death. We are already at a point that Facebook can keep posting after we die. How long before someone amalgamates our online existence into a consciousness?

Your point about Facebook makes me think of Caprica and Zoe's avatar.

That's exactly what I was thinking too when I wrote it. Then I vaguely remembered something about a service that can create either new tweets or facebook posts based on your past posts. Creepy......

Topics they talked about that are related to the book starts at around the 15:00 mark. Here are some highlights and their time for your reference:
1. Consciousness in Computers/Recreating Brain: Starts at around 15:05
2. A similar concept to Brain Pal: Starts at 16:29, stops at 16:41 (there are joke interruptions here), then continues again at 17:30. Actually, at around 17:55, Cara, one of the girl guests, said that we are getting close on achieving this (dunno how "close" though).
3. Downloading information from brain to computer: Starts at 18:44.
Also, besides from the random punchlines of the two comedians, I think it is a good listen/watch.
