((I feel like the burly one should be an idiot, who says and does stupid stuff :P ))
Belle's eyes dart around wildly, trying to catch sight of Aly amidst the undergrowth. On the inside she is struggling to move and escape, but on the outside she is as stiff as a statue. There is nothing she can do about it.
((Llol, go for it. ))
Movements slow and controlled, Aly feels around the ropes with her fingers, range of motion limited, searching for errors. There is nothing. The bindings bite into her flesh, digging painfully.
To put it simply, Aly is sufficiently immobilized.
Meeting back up with Burly, Ginger whistles a jolly tune, starting the trek back to the castle.

Meeting back up with Burly, Ginger whistles a jolly tune, starting the trek back to the castle.

Belle grimaces inside her head. She can almost feel little drops landing on her legs. Of course she's imagining it, but she can only hope it isn't actually happening. She wants so badly to knock him upside the head.
((Burly has Aly, though right?))
Ginger smacks the back of Burly's head. "Oi. We've been over this. You need to keep your tongue inside your mouth."
Aly makes a choking noise, part incredulity, part scoff, part hysteria. How the hell had she and Belle been outfought by these idiots?!

Burly hangs his head in shame. "Sorry boss." He silently keeps trying, turning his head partially so Ginger can't see him.
Belle rolls her eyes. Her body tingles with their magic.
((Are they taking them to the king, or to your head of guard charrie?))
((Ugh, I don't know! The king isn't exactly active, thus ruining my plans...))
Burly rolls his eyes. What Ginger might call 'subtle' he refers to as 'slap-in-the-face-attention-grabbing'. Minor perspective difference.
Alyssandra finds that although her body is stunned, she still has use of her mouth. She doesn't waste time. "Where the hell do you think you are taking us?" If they had gang rape in mind, the moment she and Belle are able to move again, they will send them all scurrying away, balls tucked between their legs.

Burly niggles his captives, trying to make her shut up. "Don't matter to you, you'll be our little packages till we get there."
At the sound of Alt's voice, she realizes she can speak too. "Using magic is cheating. Release our binds and fight like men you slimy cowards!" A low growl comes from deep within her throat, surprising herself.
"It's not cheating," Ginger replies flatly. "It's taking advantage of our natural born skills, same as me being smarter than my good friend here."
Aly listens carefully to the sound of Belle's voice, detecting no signs of pain. Silent relief bubbles up in her chest. She wouldn't know what to do to with herself if she lost Belle.
((I almost feel like turning Ginger into an actual charrie...))

Belle snickers. She can barely hear Aly's breathing, and the sound soothes her. If she ever looses Aly, she doesn't know what she'll do.
((Lol. If you do that, I'd be compelled to make Burly a charrie too :) ))
((But I can actually imagine continually rping Ginger...A thief of sorts in the woods that hangs around and harasses anyone who enters the domain of his 'gang'.))
Ginger raises one brow. "Yes, dear friend?"
From Aly's limited view point, she can see that the trees are starting to thin and assumes they're coming in sight of the castle.

Belle grunts. Maybe she can turn them against each other. "Back there I heard him call you an idiot," she recalls to Burly.
((Yeah, I can too. Just not for Burly. I guess I can play Burly whenever your gang needs another on their side, but I won't make him official.))
((Is it weird that my mental image of Ginger got hotter the more the idea of actually rping him brewed in my mind, lol?))
"He knows he's an idiot. I've heard his own Mam, call him one."
Aly quickly picks up on Belle's line of reasoning. "I don't call my friends idiots, no matter what they're mothers say about them."

Burly frowns. "She did not say that! She loves me a lot." His brow furrows at the girl on his shoulder. "I'm starting to believe that you don't see me as your friend," he accuses.
Belle would nod if she could. "He thinks you smell bad too. No one wants to be friends with a jerk like him! I sure wouldn't."
"And he told me he's way better at magic than you!" Aly adds for good measure.
Ginger's smile is perfectly pleasant. "Burly. If you fail me and your king, I promise you will wake up one morning and find some particular bits missing. Depending on how upset you make me, dictates what you lose. Choose wisely. Friend." The final word holds traces of mockery.

Belle chips in, "Ginger needs you and your strength. He can't carry both of us by himself- you're necessary for this mission."
((I feel like we need a trail topic- they aren't in the pub anymore :P))
((I feel like it's fine...Almost to the main entrance, anyways.))
"That's right, Burly," Ginger soothes. "You can turn her in. A good choice." How dumb is the other man? It didn't matter how it happened, so long as the women reached the king. Like he was going to be sooo upset that other man came in a pace in front of him...Right.

Belle's heart constricts. She refuses to be separated from Aly. Ginger seems too smart, so she feels that he won't let Burly get away that easily.
((Llol...Poppy...Burly's post sounds very wrong...
Ginger is officially a charrie. His name is Russet.))
"Of course you are." He wouldn't be. Conrad would deliver the pouch of silver into his hand, not the other man's. It would be quite the slight if one of his man received the goods for their work and one Russet would not soon forget. 'Twould become rather unfortunate if the king of Gysalin were to have a...carriage accident while traveling through the woods.
"Money?" Aly snatches up the slip. "You're getting money for taking us wherever you are?" The important question: had they been specifically targeted or did these men have a general order such as, 'bring me all women' or something of that such?

Yay! Aw, sad you didn't call him Ginger :'( ))
Burly nods to Aly. "We get paid for bringing suspicions people to the king." He imagines himself holding a pile of money, laying on top of shining goblets. Maybe he could take over Ginger's job and lead the men. He smiles at the thought, a lopsided grin completely filling his mushy face.
Belle snorts, utterly disgusted. "How are we suspicious?" she asks incredulously. Thinking about it after the words tumbled out, she realizes two women wandering the woods did look questionable. "We were just on our way home to our loving family, you lousy, no good..." she fades into a string of insults and undignified names.
((Russet is practically the same thing!))
"Liar." The one word holds no accusations, just simple fact. "I know everyone who travels these woods and visits the pub. You two lovely ladies, are strangers." They, at least, made much better company than Burly. God forbid the other man start whistling again.
"We don't intend to stay!" Aly shoots back, fury boiling over. "So what that we went to your stupid pub? Do you accost everyone passing through in such a vile manner?" Alyssandra snarls the words, packing all her irritation within them. This whole bloody kingdom is ridiculous. She would not be returning.
"Only the pretty ones," Russet replies cheerfully, belittling the woman's queries.

Burly slaps Alt on the back with his free hand, an impossible attempt to make her shut up.
((They should be at the castle soon, right? Is your captain free yet?))
((Er, sorta. The king is dealing with Virith but isn't exactly responding...But yeah, almost to the castle.))
"Sweetheart, they already know not to come. But like cattle to the slaughter, they just keep returning, willingly or otherwise." Russet sighs. Clearly foreigners. Everyone, including the king, knew he owned these woods.
He smacks her. This barbaric idiot actually dares to hit the future queen of the dragon-shifters! How dare he! This is the part that Aly hates most about hiding her identity--she always ends up getting treated with a condescending pat on the head or rump from men. Damn patriarchal societies.

Burly nods. "I own that tree right there!" He days, pointing to a small pine off of the path. "Her name's Sally, and she's all Ginger will let me have." He frowns at this. "There is nothing you can do to stop me little girl."
"Leave it, Belle," Aly replies flatly. Best not to further complicate their current predicament, no matter her agitation. A competent ruler knows when to surrender and when to battle.
"It's the only one he'll piss on," Russet adds. "Says he's marking his territory."

Belle humphs loudly to show she's still mad about it. it She is crossing her arms mentally.
By now, Russet and Burly are walking in step, Burly's plans to steal the silver forgotten. "Did I now? I was probably drunk. It's the only reason that explains why I let you name one of my trees."
Gysalin, Aly has realized, is turning out to be quite the oddball of a kingdom. Naming trees? Capturing foreigners? The surplus of mages? Clearly, something is off about this place.

Belle shuts her eyes. She doesn't like being immobile and held hostage. She calms her breathing, making her rising anger subside.
"I think you're getting freckles and birthmarks confused. And either way, I take pride in my body." Nope, he'd definitely been drunk.
By perhaps a centimeter, Aly's able to turn her neck from side to side. The distance is practically inconsequential, but to her it means the world. Freedom. She can practically taste it on her tongue.

Belle opens her eyes and shakes her head to clear her thoughts, surprised she is able to do it at all. A small smile paints her lips, but she tucks it away faster than it appears.
Actually, I manipulate your actions on a regular basis, but let's not get into that. "Whatever you say. And stop that. You're going to scare all the game away, again."
"Are we almost there?" Aly grouses, tired of looking at the forest from an upside down perspective, head occasionally bumping into Burly's shoulder blade. She knows that her face is red by now, blood pounding behind the thin translucency of her skin.

Belle makes an effort to bang harder against Ginger's back with every step he takes. Now that she has more control, she tries to make it as uncomfortable for him as possible. The pain in her head isn't bad, she only cares about bugging him.
Russet doesn't dignify Burly's comment with a response, instead shifting his focus to his captive. "What are you doing back there? Trying to flirt with me?"

"Rest assured, you look too young and innocent for my tastes. I prefer women of an already debase nature."
Aly snorts. "Real chivalrous one, aren't you?"
"Just call me a white knight."
Aly snorts. "Real chivalrous one, aren't you?"
"Just call me a white knight."

Belle rolls her eyes. "I don't do stuck up morons either. Rest assured, we weren't meant to be," she retorts. She ends her attempts to make him stop walking. All it is doing is making her dizzy.
((Basically, not pure, crass, etc.))
Moron. Him. Ha. Cute joke. Through the trees, the tallest spires of the castle peek through, coated in shades of rosy pinks and oranges from the rapidly fading sunlight. Already, stars are able to be seen, the brightest of the bunch already shining. "Almost there, ladies."
"Joy," Aly mutters, steeling herself. Of yet, finger twitches are as far as she's been able to move. With a feeling akin to a drowning man weighed down with stones, Aly realizes that when she and Belle and handed over, they will still be frozen.

Burly has already forgotten his threat from earlier. "Just think about all of the gold we can get from these girls!" he says dreamily, almost to himself.
Belle frowns at Ginger's back. As soon as the spell is released off of them, they will run. She will make sure of that.
(Lol, I was actually thought that when I finished the post but was too lazy to change...And I think the time was moving faster over here than at the main entrance, anyways...))
"Silver. The king gives us silver. I don't know why you can't seem to retain this knowledge." Every time, Burly always ended up discussing gold...Wrong.
The king. Well, isn't that fantastic? The icing on top of the proverbial cake.

Burly grunts and waves his hand in a dismissive gesture. "Practically the same thing," he says. His fantasies continue to bloom within his head.
Belle grunts in unison with Burly. "Apparently we are more important than I thought we were," she says in annoyance. Naturally, she leaves out the part that they are both heirs to secret thrones.
Alyssandra scoffs. "I hope not all men are as idiotic in this kingdom."
Russet appears highly offended. "What, is my advanced level of intelligence not impressing you?"
"Not really, considering the whole kidnapping bit."

"Don't assume anything about me. And if you wish to live beyond this night, I'd shut your yap, nod obediently, and hope to hell Conrad dismisses you."
((Let's switch topics now.))
((Let's switch topics now.))
Ginger scoops his target up, easily tossing her over his muscled shoulder. "Got the other?" he calls to his companion.
