Are you sure about the name of the book? The only authors I recall with a book with that title are Terry Brooks and Jim Butcher
There is an author Christopher Stasheff who has a series of warlock/wizard books.

I finished a book (can't remember the name ) & it had a sample of another book coming out on the same publisher,
It was about 2 girls sitting on a red velvet couch in "limbo" (between heaven & hell) but it was set up kinda like an airport terminal. The escalator system was up for heaven & down for hell. People were in that terminal for a long time, I think they had to accomplish some task before they could pass through to the escalator 's.to heaven or hell. If anyone has ANY idea what book this is please tell me! I'd bet it was a Ya book. If you have any ideas please suggest them:) thanks Clare

Julie, Is this it?

Yes it is Thank you so much!

The book about the girls in limbo actually sounds really cool, if you find out what it is, I want to read it! lol

Julie--you want Christopher Stasheff's writing. The Warlock in Spite of Himself is the book you are thinking of. It's the first book in the series.

Yup, CHristopher Stasheff... my hubby reads those. By the way, the 'dark ages' they're talking about is actually based on a real-life organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism. I'm a member, and it's sooooo much fun! :D www.sca.org if you want to check it out sometime. :)
