I read a series of books a few years ago and I can't remember the authors last name so it has been hard for me to find the books again or the author. The first name of the Author is Christopher and the last name starts with an S. I think the first book was Wizard at Large. It was about a man who went to a planet that was like earth back in the dark ages. He had a computer on the ship that he took out and put into a mechanical horse. Because he was from earth (and had technology) the people there thought he was a wizard. If anyone knows anything Please let me know. Thank You.

There is an author Christopher Stasheff who has a series of warlock/wizard books.
This is kinda a question for this thread-I finished a book (can't remember the name ) & it had a sample of another book coming out on the same publisher,
It was about 2 girls sitting on a red velvet couch in "limbo" (between heaven & hell) but it was set up kinda like an airport terminal. The escalator system was up for heaven & down for hell. People were in that terminal for a long time, I think they had to accomplish some task before they could pass through to the escalator 's.to heaven or hell. If anyone has ANY idea what book this is please tell me! I'd bet it was a Ya book. If you have any ideas please suggest them:) thanks Clare

Yes it is Thank you so much!
Hello all I read a book last year about a girl going to college and she had been almost raped by a high school sports hero and even her father believed she lied so she goes away and at college meets a few new friends and a boy who is a vampire and so are his college friends and all were turned by the same women. Can you please help??
lol, Twilight? Unfortunately "meeting a new boy who turns out to be a vampire" is like...a huge percent of YA books. Anymore details to help? The book about the girls in limbo actually sounds really cool, if you find out what it is, I want to read it! lol
They also go off to a cabin owned by one of the girl friends family and the women that turns them shows up.and it is during the winter.
Julie--you want Christopher Stasheff's writing. The Warlock in Spite of Himself is the book you are thinking of. It's the first book in the series.

By the way, the 'dark ages' they're talking about is actually based on a real-life organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism. I'm a member, and it's sooooo much fun! :D www.sca.org if you want to check it out sometime. :)
