terpkristin | 4407 comments I'm back in the US but still have some issues that I can't access the Google docs file. So I'm happy to bow out (totally freaked out) or if someone wants to jump in/swap.....

Starting next Tuesday (3/26ish) or so things should get more normal. I hope.

Pouria (paganmoon) | 37 comments Really enjoying reading this, feels like a weekly TV-series with the updates coming (almost) weekly :).

Terpkristin, I'd say give it a try, it's really fun. I also freaked out when it got to be my turn, but now after, I'm enjoying it alot.

/P

Ruth (tilltab) Ashworth | 2218 comments Terpkristen, if email is fine, just not google docs, perhaps someone could email you the story so far, and then you could email your bit to be added?

message 104: by terpkristin (new)

terpkristin | 4407 comments Well I'm still freaked out but email also won't work. Dealing with some work crises, checking personal email and this forum I'm between meetings on my phone. :/

I have a feeling I'll be working 16 hour days straight thru Thursday night, when I leave for PAX East and zero bandwidth.

Can someone swap with me so I can do it in a week or 2 when things have calmed down?

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Alright, bear with me guys and gals as I get all the scheduling figured out.

message 106: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Alrighty, this beast is still trudging along, folks. John has posted his part and Joshua is up next!

Please take a look at the spreadsheet and let me know if the new schedule works for you. If you don't want to participate anymore, please let me know so we don't run into another lull in the process.

message 107: by Paul (new)

Paul (brocklaser) | 2 comments I really want to read what you guys are writing! It is so crazy seeing you all talking about it but not being able to see it! Good luck everyone and I look forward to seeing your combined efforts!

In due time....

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Joshua has posted his part and Belinda is currently working on hers.

Remember, if you are a part of this, please take a look at the spreadsheet and let me know if the dates work for you!

message 110: by Emily (new)

Emily (missmaita) | 3 comments There, my section's done now! I agree with Pouria, it's tricky streamlining all your ideas into 600 word chapter (speaking if which, I think I might be little bit over that limit). That and trying to reference books you've read for ideas without it being apparent in your work. Enjoy!

message 111: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Michelle's segment has been posted and Emy is up next!

Are we still rolling or are we just behind? I noticed I should be up soon but it looks like the person before me hasn't gone yet? Or have they?

message 113: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments I've been trying to get a hold of some people but if they don't respond I may just skip them. I will let you know ASAP!

message 114: by Alex (new)

Alex | 91 comments Wow I missed out on this majorly o_O

message 115: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Huzzzah! Tom has posted his segment. We only have 5 more writers! (Then the nightmare of editing begins!)

message 116: by James (new)

James H. (jhedrick) | 128 comments The story is looking really interesting though! I've been following it off-and-on since I posted my section 2nd, & I can honestly say it has taken several unexpected directions. Can't wait to see how it ends up!

message 117: by D. H. (new)

D. H. | 100 comments Looks like I'm next. (Yes, I'm Jeff. I changed my name Goodreads name because there were too many Jeffs.) I'm getting to work.

message 118: by Bren (new)

Bren (districtsix) Is it still possible to get in on this?

message 119: by Sean Lookielook (new)

Sean Lookielook Sandulak (seansandulak) | 444 comments Bren wrote: "Is it still possible to get in on this?"

I've started a similar sort of thing over at the Foil & Phaser community blog. I posted the first page of a story and asked everyone to send in the next 200 - 300 words and then I publish the best one. We then repeat until the story is done. If you want to participate or even start your own story you should check it out.

message 120: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments This go around is closed, unfortunately. I just wanted to have a clear ending date so the writers know where they're at and know when to start concluding the story.

message 121: by D. H. (new)

D. H. | 100 comments I forgot to say that I posted my part.

message 122: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Only 3 more writers...

message 123: by b (new)

b (brookenshire) | 12 comments ...and then there were 2...

elie88, i can't wait to see what you do with the BOSS FIGHT. :)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Soon...

message 125: by Sean Lookielook (new)

Sean Lookielook Sandulak (seansandulak) | 444 comments If anyone is interested, we are starting a new, similar collaboration over on Foil & Phaser. If you enjoyed this one, or you if missed the boat, sign up soon. We are also starting writers workshops for beginners and intermediate-level fiction authors.

message 126: by James (new)

James H. (jhedrick) | 128 comments I have participated in both this collaboration AND the Foil & Phaser. I encourage everyone to click on Sean's link above and join the group. If you're interested enough in writing to get in on this project, you'll love the Foil & Phaser group.

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Sorry, I've been MIA for a while, had to move to a new place.

Does anyone want to tackle the final segment, wrap this beast up?

message 128: by D. H. (new)

D. H. | 100 comments I'm busy with work for the next two weeks. If no one volunteers by then, I would definitely want a crack at it.

Tyler, what's the status on the compilation? I'm curious to see how this winds up. Just checking in. Thanks!

message 130: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Just waiting to see who wants to finish it off. Then I can edit it and post it!

If no one is leaping forward, I'll take a crack at it. I've got some time this weekend, if no one minds someone getting two bites at the apple.

Ruth (tilltab) Ashworth | 2218 comments Finally got around to catching up on the story. It's as bumpy as you would expect from this sort of thing, but reads pretty nicely, all in all, and it's cool seeing what everyone has done with each other's ideas. I'd love it if the double dare to Veronica worked, and she finished it, but however, I look forward to seeing how it ends.

message 133: by D. H. (new)

D. H. | 100 comments I was all psyched to get to work on the story this weekend, but my town had flood and all of us town hall employees are busy helping with the clean up. So I look forward to seeing how James wraps it up.

message 134: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments James- you should have access. Make us proud.

message 135: by James (new)

James H. (jhedrick) | 128 comments I'm honored. I'll do my best to bring us home.

message 136: by Pouria (new)

Pouria (paganmoon) | 37 comments So, what happened with this?

message 137: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments Well if James finished it then it will be complete. If not, does anyone want to finish it?

message 138: by Tyler (new)

Tyler Lutz (tylerlutz) | 233 comments I read through it a month ago and it was surprisingly quite fluid, given all the different voices.
