Lily Castleton | 7 comments Hi! I don't own an eBook reader, so I am curious if you can print from it, after attaching it to a printer? Thank you.

Betsy I have a Kindle, but I didn't think you could connect it to a printer. Not directly anyway. You can connect to your computer and download a file from the Kindle, then print from your computer. Although I wonder if there would be format problems.

Why do you want to print? You need to be careful. This may not be strictly legal if you're trying to print from a copyrighted and/or DRM protected book.

Tish (paradiseisalibrary) | 30 comments You cannot attach it to a printer to print from. If you use the Kindle for PC app you can copy passages from the book and print that but it won't let you print the entire book due to copy right restrictions set by publishers.

The Fire does not connect to any devices except a TV. A Kindle Fire HD will connect to a TV but the Kindle Fire 2nd Generation will not. I believe the HD will also connect to a bluetooth keyboard.

Lily Castleton | 7 comments Thank you. I asked because I am writing an ebook about painting your home and I wanted people to be able to print out the color swatches on cartain pages.

I have a Kindle Fire, and yes you can print from it if you get the free app " hp eprint". You have to have an Hp printer, though.

Betsy Lily, you probably wouldn't want to sell it for a regular Kindle anyway because they're strictly black & white. No color illustrations. However, the Fire does color and the Kindle apps for tablets or PCs would display color.

Radar | 8 comments This reply is to Lily. Message 5. There's more ways to skin a cat. With that said. You can hook your Kindle up to your computer with a usb connector the other connector hooks up to your Kindle. It has the same connector that comes with your charger. I think it is a micro connector. I'm pretty sure you can bring up your Kindle directory on your computer screen. At the same time you also bring up your computer directory and drag the Kindle files to the computer directory. Once you have the files transferred all you have to do is hi light your file and print it.
Try it and let me know if it works. Good Luck
