Paranormal with vampires [s]

Ok I am busting my head trying to figure out the name and the author of this book but I can't please help me.
The story goes like this... She is vampire but not strong enough and works (owns?) at a bar. She has a Goth friend (roomate?) and stears clear from others of her kind because of a tragic accident that had in the past (something with her parents which left her with a scar I am not sure about that). He is a prince and he have to take the throne but he won't until he finds his mate, he has a bodyguard who is also an advisor. I think he has a tattoo which can sense when his mate is near? I can't remember... And they suppose to drink only from other vampires to be strong.
I would be very obliged if you help me.

P.S The release date of the book (series?) was last year or the year before.
