The above quote depicts the fact that Zia had a dual personality. And this dual personality was not due to some disease or disorder but by zia's own heinous plans. He would act as a religious, scholarly figure in front of the millions of Pakistanis but when he would be with his generals he would return to his pitiful state. He would scheme, schemes to kill populations of society, to remove who ever would pose as a threat to him, ways to expand is already over inflated bank accounts.

He had become such a master at dual personality, hypocrisy, lies and deception that even his partners in crime would be baffled at the type of personality Zia would posses.
