What would you say is the worst junk food ever created?
##waves back furiously##
Hello Cynthia.
Hello Cynthia.
I almost answered "no", but I am not a "ball eater"...
Oh dear, the pic just came through...that is awful! I would go veggie again before I touched that.
Seriously, Phil, thanks for that visual right before bed. If I have bad dreams of being chased by veiny bull balls you're getting a package of poo in the mail!
Why not? They might taste delicious. They just look a little on the gross side before they are cooked. Sliced up, fried...
Well that cures me of any burger cravings for a while...
I assume you are kidding about the deep fried butter Pi.
Gail, deep fried butter on a stick was actually offered at the Iowa State Fair last year. This was AN ENTIRE STICK OF BUTTER!Paula Deen has butter balls, but nothing as sick as this.
I think we have a winner here! The thought of deep fried butter makes me feel really ill.

Yes I am an Iowan. No, I did not try the butter on a stick. Are you quite mad? But I do enjoy a little butter in pasta.
I don't know, deep fried butter still grosses me out. And I eat heart-clogging, terrible-for-you stuff all the time. Well not all the time, but I'm far from a health nut is all I'm saying.
Trust me, a heart attack is around every corner at the Iowa State Fair. I'm shocked every year at the number of hefty Iowans who show up in mullets and tank tops and eat themselves silly. And THEN go to the Grandstand and drink beer and listen to 1980s Hair Bands. It's all quite fun.

I'm not judging the taste at all. Just the concept.
Cool, I feel better about that batch of extra-rich creamed spinach I made for lunch now. I would still feel gross just taking a bite of a stick of butter, though. Especially if that stick of butter was deep-fried.
Or am I misunderstanding and what you really meant was that you like those two items served together?

May be the problem is in the name. The picture makes it look like a donut! I love donuts. I also love butter and never replace it with substitutes. The thought of eating a stick of butter, gross!

I've never had creamed spinach. It is spinach, and what else?I'll eat tots but we don't deep fry them. Chips sometimes, if they are home made, which only happens every couple of years.
Fish and chips from the "Fish and chip" shop, fried and battered is one of my weakness'.
I'd eat a stick o deep fried butter in a second over bull balls!
I eat Brummell & Browns. It's made from yogurt, not so much with the cholesterol.

Olive oil doesn't cut it on my PB sarnies.

I like olive oil for cooking. I use Earth Balance for a spread.

*eating my sandwich now, even though it's only 10:45am::
