Faye (asdfayeiouvwxyz) | 269 comments Well in college haha, my GPA gets higher (or maybe JUST high, not at all higher) because of P.E., yeah :D They give flat one sometimes so...P.E. is an asset to my GPA.

In a way, P.E matters to me because it was my only 'rest' subject. Rest of the mind, at least.

Ella (AWholeLotofNothing) | 386 comments I don't think PE should affect your GPA. Because I feel like your mark for PE is very open to interpretation and has always been quite biased in my cases. Example: most boys get higher marks in PE than girls. It's not that the girls don't try at all- there are a lot of girls who like it in my class- but the boys get 90+ percent, while not a single girl got above 90%. I'm not saying that the boys didn't deserve over 90%. I'm just saying that some of the girls deserved that mark too, but they just didn't get it for some reason.

Also, I really don't like PE, and don't see the point in it, especially since all the "health" parts of it are quite counterproductive. I think it's great that we're getting exercise, but everyone who doesn't like it doesn't try. So there's not a lot of exercise going on there.

As for me, I like P.E. I chose dancing, badminton, basketball and...what was that one with the team-building stuffs... for my P.E classes and I did learn stuffs. So in a way, it really helped. It's not only the exercise thing for me, but also the interaction with people.

Justastudent | 2 comments hey everyone
i'm writing a persuasive essay on this topic and i'd like your opinions on the topic and if you like, my actual essay: https://docs.google.com/document/d/12...

My view is that we should have the choice whether we want our individual PE grade affecting our GPA.
Suggestions, opinions, observations?

Daniela | 2 comments (I am aware this conversation happened in 2013) I think that gym should definetly NOT count for your GPA. I am super smart, and super nerdy girl who gets straight As, and I always get a 4.0 until... SPLAT! There goes all my hard work down the darin because of PE. All those kids out there who are super intellegent but aren't athletic end up with low GPAs because they get a bad grade in PE. Colleges look at your GPA, and if it's low only because of gym, they just don't admit you.
