Combine books split in 2 volumes

I'm sorry if this has been asked before or if I'm posting this in the wrong section.
Should I combine 2 volumes with a book that was originally published in just one volume? One example: George R.R. Martin's books are being divided in two volumes each in my country. Should that two volumes be combined with the original english book?
