Margaret | 21 comments The Cure For Death By Lightning was my choice for British Columbia.

I also read For Elise: Unveiling the Forgotten Woman on the Criddle Homestead. The book isn't widely available, but I bought my copy at McNally Robinson Bookstore in Winnipeg and I believe it can be ordered from them online. It is well worth the read, so much so that I am counting it as my second book for Manitoba! It's the heartbreaking true story of a woman who was forced into servitude on a Manitoba farm in the late 1800's.

Margaret | 21 comments The Nine Lives of Charlotte Taylorcompletes my trip to New Brunswick.

Just Ontario and Saskatchewan left to go!

Janice (jamasc) You're doing great, Margaret!

Margaret | 21 comments Saskatchewan: Who Has Seen the Windby W. O. Mitchell. This is an oldie, surprised I had never read it before.
Ontario: Dear Life: Storiesby Alice Munro. Her usual excellence!
I had started reading Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town written in 1912 by Stephen Leacock, but just couldn't get into it. After the first chapter I switched to Dear Life.

This completes my tour across Canada. I was highly motivated to finish up by September as I have some other demands on my time.

Melissa and Janice, thank you both for facilitating this group! Thoroughly enjoyed it, and read some books I might not otherwise have looked at.
