Chapter 1
Hi, my name is Bella Summers, Daughter of Athena. If you’re a demigod like me CLOSE THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW! If you’re a regular teenager that thinks this book is fiction, good for you. You live a normal life and a lot of people envy you. As for me I live a life of peril, danger, and wars. The occasional fun is aloud in my life also. I go to a camp call Camp Half-Blood, which is the only place where demigods like me are safe. Recently Camp Half-Blood fought in the Titan war against Kronos, Titan lord. Percy Jackson is now the most popular person in Camp and on Olympus. He has an awesome girlfriend, Annabeth Chase, which I’m jealous of. Sadly she’s my sister so it would be wrong to hurt her. Not that I could anyway. Back to the point, Im a demigod, monsters are running lose in the world, and a race of Giants want to take over the nation. Where am I in all of this? Right in the middle.
One day I was doing my normal rounds at my cabin with my two best friends,
Zack and Ashley, when I suddenly heard an explosion go of in the dining hall. I looked at my friends, “what was that?” Ashley shrugged and Zack knowingly grinned wildly, “Maybe a giant burrito exploded while an Ares kid was trying to eat it and Mexican food splattered the dining hall in every direction leaving a surprised Ares kid sitting there holding pieces of the wrapper.” Me and Ashley both looked at him, “Zack, what did you do this time?” we both asked at the same time. “Nothing! I promise!” he said as we ran outside where giant Mexican food had exploded and a surprised Ares kid was sitting holding the remains of what used to be a burrito. “Well maybe a little…..” Zack muttered grinning. You see Zack, he’s a Son of Hermes, the god of all things naughty but hilarious. Pranks, thievery, you name it. Zack loves to be funny. He tries really hard to make us laugh our brains out, sometimes a little too hard. Ashley on the other hand is a Daughter of Hestia, goddess of the hearth. Ashley is kind, loving and a great friend. She loves to laugh and will listen to you no matter how boring your conversation may be. Both of them are great friends and I’m glad to have them.
So while Ashley and I were busy being angry at Zack but trying not to laugh Chiron came over. He’s the camp director along with being an Immortal Centaur. He walked up to the Ares kid and said to him softly, “Go to the infirmary. They will get you cleaned up.” He helped the kid, whose name was Jack, up and looked around. Chiron spotted my friends and I and beckoned us over. “do you know who did this?” he asked once we were over to where he was. “No sir.” We answered in sync. Chiron looked at Zack, “uh huh. So it wouldn’t occur to you that a certain friend of yours loves to blow things up in peoples face as a funny joke?” Busted, Zack looked at his shoes guiltily. “And it wouldn’t occur to you that a certain someone just said that would happen in the cabin?” Chiron said with a knowing glint in his eyes. Zack looked up, “I did it sir. I thought it would be a funny joke.” The camp director nodded, “I know and it was but sometimes we have to confess right away that we did it. Maybe it might turn out good for you or you will get punished. Only the fates can decide. But for now limit your pranks.” “Yes sir.” Zack nodded vigorously. “Ok now I must get back to my came of pinochle with Mr. D or he will get mad. Goodbye.” Chiron left and walked back to the Big House were Mr. D in hid Hawaiian shirt and shorts was sitting on a lawn chair.
