Five Stars already Michael? How would you compare it to The Shining? Has King still got it?"
Just finished it and 5 starred it too. Loved it!
I think 'The Shining', 'Salem's Lot', and 'The Stand' are his best works, and while they're excellent reads as stand alone novels, good reviews might talk me into reading a sequel on any of them. I don't think it's anything more than boredom or money driving this venture, but if he can recreate the atmosphere of the original, then what the hay? I won't read anything by this author without sterling recommendations at this point otherwise. Bear in mind, 'Carrie', 'Misery' and 'Cujo' were also fine works, but for me he became the McDonalds of horror writers after 'Thinner' and 'It'. 'Different Seasons' (The Mist), and 'Skeleton Crew' (Apt Pupil & The Body), were also good, er, reads.

That sounds really good! I would love to explore that place again! I heart Stephen King!
