Sophie reached Isabella's house. She knew from rumors that it was dangerous, but she wasn't sure how. Sophie walked up to the door and rang the doorbell.

Alex saw Sophie and ran to the other side. He yanked her down. "What were you doing up there?" he hissed in her ear.

Isabella watched them walk up to the door. She was about to go down there until she heard her grandma as she went to the door. Her grandmother opened it, "Yes?"

Sophie was about to go up there, but Alex held her back. Sophie struggled against Alex and walked up. "Hello. I'm Sophie."

"Hello Sophie, what brings you here?" Her grandma tilted her head. Derek asleep on the couch and Isabella just watched from the window.

Alex got up from his hiding spot and went up to Sophie. "I'm Alex."

"hello Alex. So where is the newspaper?" Isabella's grandmother asked them.

"Thank you." Her grandmother took. Derek awoke and walked into the main hallway. He rubbed his eyes.

"Maisy, the chicken is done." Derek told Isabella's grandmother. "Derek, I finished that, now why don't you go home now." Derek nodded and walked out the door.

Sophie felt her hands start to get sweaty. She rubbed them on her pants leg.

Alex looked down at Sophie's hands. Sweat. He knew what that sign meant.

Isabella watched from the top of the stairs.

"Okay, by." Isabella's grandmother closed the door and looked up at her granddaughter.

Sophie smiles. Alex grabs Sophie by the arm "What were you thinking? You could've gotten hurt! What would I have done then? Huh?"

"Alex. Calm down. Nothing bad happened. I'm fine." Sophie says.

"Isabella, don't you even think about it." Her grandmother warned her as she shot her a look. Isabella shrunk into the shadows.

Isabella sat down on the window sill and looked out of the window.

Derek walked silently out of the gates and walked home.

Sophie shrugs Alex off. She didn't want his comfort now. She slinked off, to follow Derek quietly.

Isabella watched her follow Derek.

Derek walked quietly to a beautiful, but not as beautiful as Isabella's not as big, but just a simple sky blue house.

Sophie saw Derek go to a house. She started to walk to him. "Hi. I'm Sophie." Sophie says, hoping she doesn't startle him.

Alex sighs. He heads back.

Just as he walks up the steps, he jumps a little. "Hi Sophie. I am Derek." He opens the door.

Isabella goes downstairs and talks to her grandmother.

"Hi Derek." Sophie says. She's not sure whether he wants her to come in or not, so she stays.

Alex heads back to Sophie's house, gets his things then heads out.

"Would you like to come in?" He holds the door open for her.

Isabella helps her grandmother in the kitchen and then walks up stairs and takes a nap.

Derek closes the door behind Sophie. "So why did you follow me home?" He asked her. He was unsure why she did so.

"Let's see...I have orange Juice, Apple Juice, Raspberry juice, Soda, diet and non diet and Water. So what would you like?"

"Okay." He first poured himself some Raspberry juice and then got some water. Derek walked into the the family room."Here you go Sophie."

"Thanks." Sophie says. She takes a sip of water, before getting confident enough to tell him why she followed him. "I followed you, because, I, um, uh, think that you are, well, um, uh, cute."

Derek almost spit out his drink, "You what?!" He put his drink down and looked at her confused.
