I'm also not loving the trailers for the movie. I know I will go see it, but trailers don't capture the story like it is in my head. I suspect I will be disappointed, and wonder why I did that to myself! :-)

For the movie... I mainly want to see it because Emmy Rossum is playing Ridley and I LOOOVEEE her!

I agree. I want to go see it just to see it because it is one of my favorite books i've read and i read alot of books. I am not loving the character much for ethan the most though. He's to short for the part and looks much too old. Same with ridley(plus ridely was blonde with pink stripes in her hair)

And the lack of an epilogue, in my opinion, allows the reader to imagine his/her own happy ending which is so much better.

I know, I was hoping they would write an epilog..that would have been nice. To see where things ended up...whether Ridley and Link were truly going to be together..what about Ethan's dad? What are they going to do without Amma? What the heck?

Please..I would love if you wrote a fifth book. I would read it, then buy it, and read it again. And again. I mean, I don't even need a long book. Just an epilog or short story about how things officially ended up. You know?

I still am unwilling to accept that this is the finale. No more :(
It seriously breaks my heart. This was by far one of my favourite series 123398049234%
Okay so, I agree that the ending was not all that I expected.
I am a little disappointed, but every author ends their stories with what they have envisioned, and who is to tell them what they have done is not right.
I respect every ending to every story regardless if I agree with it or not.
These books were written exceptionally well, and I cannot wait to see the film!
Unfortunately, I have to wait until Monday for that! :(

Honestly, I thought this was the weakest book in the series. I loved the first three so much and like a lot of people have said on here, the last book felt too rushed and too forced. I also thought that Ethan's "struggle" to get back to Lena and the land of the living was too quick and unrealistic...like it was too easy-everything in a way went easy for him (I mean, his journey and the tasks he has to do) and then he was back. I would have liked to have seen some more angst etc. Also, when Ethan and Lena reunited, it was so frustratingly short! I was expecting some epic, heart-wrenching and romantic reunion and it was like, "they fell into each other's arms and cried.." or something along those lines and their love story was really important in all the books. Also, an epilogue would have been nice, too and whatever happened to Ridley and Link? I assume they didn't end up together but they still cared deeply for each other...Amma's death was great and really sad/beautifully written and I liked the beginning, how sad and angsty it was. Plus, I really liked there being Lena's POV as well and how Ethan was never supposed to die...
Overall, the series was brilliant but I felt it should've ended in the third book with maybe a couple extra chapters or a really long epilogue of when he comes back to her or something...

I liked the Ending though, Romantic,(check) Moral,(check) beautiful (check!)
