I cried myself to sleep. I couldn't help it...That scene where Isobel's holding Varen's jacket and reading his love note...And the epilogue, where he's standing on the cliff, gazing into the storm and holding her ribbon...:'( I cried for Isobel, for Edgar, and for Reynolds, but mostly for Varen. Alone, imprisoned by his own nightmares, and separated from his love, his Lenore...I swear, I could feel my heart shattering into a gazillion pieces. Then I thought about how "The Raven" ended, and I cried some more.
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted-nevermore!

When I woke up, I felt hollow inside.

Rashika (is tired) Wait till you read the sequel.

Indeed! Been awhile since I cried as much to a book as I did after i was done reading the enshadowed. Cant wait for the third book!

Rashika (is tired) I couldn't even cry because I was so shocked and hollow. It took me a while to get over the hollowness because the ending was like WOAH. Although as much as I'd like to hate it I cannot. I am glad the author didn't take the easy way out. Although I wish we have a release date for the third book and a title as well. I just hope the wait isn't as long as it was for Enshadowed.

I read some of Enshadowed, and I got sad. I read the end of Nevermore, and I was DEVASTATED. (But still not as bad as the end to Unraveling.

Noo you should finish the book!! It's sad at times but you know the author is still a genius. UGH THE ENDING TO UNRAVELING WAS HORRID! I HATED the book for a while because I was that annoyed. Then I got over myself. :P

Pamela No, I didn't cry. I was angry with this book. How can the author leave the ending like that. It's horrible, now I have to wait for the next book!!

I cried too! I love Varen!

But if you think about it if she took the easy way out would you have been less angry?

Bite your lip and do it. Preferably with a box of tissues next to you. It's even sadder than the first one.

The fictional world is the dream world which Varen can enter because it is based on his imagination. Isoble got there with the help of Varen I think or with the help of Reynolds who can travel between the worlds because his soul is trapped between the two worlds

It's sad but it's also beautiful. As much as it broke my heart I still loved it to bits, I think it was worth it :)

Neha I couldn't help it. The ending was literally cry able because Isobel's love for Varen was so intense that she had to handle herself with his only memory, his army jacket.
