Tamsin Walker (tamsink) Dear all

I am new here, and was attracted by the idea of talking to so many lovers of thriller/suspense. I have always been wary of the genre myself. I couldn't even read the Famous Five as a child! So I NEVER imagined writing a thriller. But it turns out I have done just that.

What is it that appeals to you about suspense?

Would love to hear from people. I am genuinely interested.

Thanks for now...

I love the gritty, fast pace of a thriller, something which keeps you 'on the edge of your seat', so to speak. The 'OMG' effect!

Tamsin Walker (tamsink) Hi Brenda and Michael thanks for your thoughts. I wish I had lots of thrillers to share with you, but I fear I am not brave enough to read very many... Big fan of Ian McEwan though, and Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected. What are your favourites?

Tamsin Walker (tamsink) I meant to attach a little bit about mine, plus a link to the video trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2Djjh... - just in case you are interested

The book is called Impersonation, and starts like this: “I caught a glimpse of myself today...I saw my description in the pages of a book, in the words of a man I have never met.”

When Ruth receives a new novel from her book club, she is immediately intrigued. ‘The Ruthlessness of One Man’ claims to be about a real-life London commuter and, as Ruth delves further into the dark tale, she makes a sinister discovery. She is that commuter. As Ruth reads on and becomes convinced that the author, Mr Walden, intends her to be more than just his muse, she must unravel the story to uncover just what he has in store for her, both on paper and in reality. Ultimately, she only has the book itself to piece together Mr Walden's identity and motive. But can she do it in time to stop herself from becoming the victim of a twisted literary plot?

Tamsin Walker (tamsink) Hi all

I do hope I am in the right spot for this little attempt at luring you to read my book, Impersonation. It will be available FREE of charge on Amazon from Thursday 21th to Sunday 24th March. Grab yourselves a copy if you would like to read what Michael Palin describes as an "intriguingly original literary detective story". Spread the word if you like, for those four days only, it won't cost a penny.

Thank you for listening/reading. TKW

Where are you living Tamsin? In the UK, or are you an Aussie? Sorry for the questions, but your profile doesn't show any detail, and I was curious:)

message 19: by Tamsin (new)

Tamsin Walker (tamsink) I am currently living in Berlin, where snow is abundant!!! A far cry from the scorching heat I hear you have been having down there. I was raised in the UK and in Canberra. I will update my profile;) There is more about me at tamsinkwalker.co.uk

Thanks Tamsin! Wow, so cold over there! Our heat and humidity is still around, but not as bad as it was in February, thank goodness!

I'll read up your profile when you've updated it, thanks:)
