90% pg 155 " Fully Alone I who have no name and no body. I have slipped out from under him and now scattered above like flakes of ash-blonde human hair. No longer can I bear with the ruined god, betrayed and beat by his own magic. Calling on powers best left unsummoned, he took human beings apart- and then he put them back together again. For a while it worked (there was redemption); and while it worked he and I were one, on the banks of the Vistula. He put us back together. But of course you shouldn't be doing any of this kind of thing with human being... The party is over. He lies there in the peeling pyramid of the attic bedroom, on his cot shaped like a gutter. A damp pink pillow is twisted in his fists. I'll always be here. But he's on his own." -The narrator is pondering over the fact of why he existed before the death of Odilo and live his life backwards. Out of all people he was thrown into Odilo. He suffers when he sees the travesty of living in his time period. He saw those who died come back to life, he saw does who lived grow into non-existence. The two were like peas in a pod as they went through this adventure together but he feels time is up and Odilo would no longer need him. Now Odilo has to face his death by being born and to leave existance.
An image that would represent this would be a male figure looking into his shadow as it starts to fade away from him. The shadow would be the narrator who was always with him but now you must live without one.
