I just had the worst 15 minutes of my life trying to find an actor to act Chaol.
Do you know how hard it is?!
To find something equally charming, gruff and roughly handsome?
Someone who'd look good in armour/captain get-up and wielding a sword?
Someone swoonworthy?
Well it's hard. Very hard. So I send a plea out there to 'Throne of Glass' fangirls to help find the perfect Chaol.
As for Dorian...
That one was hard because of the ABUNDANCE of actors who could possible act him. In true stalker fashion, I surfed the web and came up with a few possible Dorians. My choice of today (which will probably change, knowing me!) is:
Chace Crawford: undeniably good-looking in a suit and tie, is (quite frankly) gorgeous and suits the whole 'my daddy is rich and I live an awesome life' persona (note his performance in the hit series 'Gossip Girl').
Celaena is a work-in-progress. I need an actress that is pretty, blonde and also has the ability to look kick-ass when required. More updates on that soon :D

As Dorian? I dunno... As for Chaol, I totally get it. I can't imagine anything about him, not as an actor, or anything. Celaena... Hmm. I'll have to think about that one.

Maybe we'll have to invent some kind of machine that drags the character out of the book so we can place them in the movie :)

Hmm...true. Amanda Seyfried has the perfect hair though:
And Evan Rachel Wood looks kinda like my mental image of Celaena in this pic:

Bradley James as Chaol? He would have to die his hair though, but he looks REALLY good in armour in Merlin!!

I think Amanda Seyfried could definetly play Celaena. She looks cold, like she could murder someone and she could still probably play the girly side of Celaena too!
@Vera - Bradley James is too cute for his own good, and I have to agree he looked super good in armour (Merlin fans can attest to that!). He may need stubble though...I don't know why, but I picture Chaol having a smidgen of stubble!!
@Halee: Amanda is one of my fave picks for Celaena. She's such a versatile actress and I think she could play both 'sides' of Celaena well :D

Evan Rachel Wood is the best I've seen so far, but something is lacking...
Amanda Seyfried could be a good choice. I don't know why, but the first actor to pop into my head for Chaol was David Henry. Who knows with Dorian.
Yeah, I mean the actor. I was looking at pictures of the actor on google and saw the body builder and was thinking "who's is this guy?"Though he played a less serious role in Wizards of Waverly Place, he has the right... look I guess.
I think Chaol should look a little more edgy, he's a fighter so a little stubble and maybe a few scars really add to the image.

Stubble is a must :)
Stubble is a must :)
True, but if there's anything I've learned from watching Face-off, its that scars can easily be faked while still looking real.
Yeah, it's been hard for me and my sister to watch it when we have so much homework :( but we try to watch as often as possible.
I think Jennifer Lawrence could pull Celaena off but for a lot of the book Celaena is emaciated from her time in Endovier and J. Lawrence's face is a little too rounded for that.
I just think she's got the right look and her acting isn't bad. She lacks some passion in my opinion, but I think that's ok since Celaena isn't really in a relationship.

True. And also, I think that if it was to be a movie, although Jen could make a good Celaena, her role as Katniss might overshadow her role as Celaena a little (to the audience/if they've never read the books).
On another note, if it was to become a movie, I would hope that not too much emphasis would be put on the 'love triangle' - it's a shame when that happens.

Yes, but if she was chosen for Celaena her fan base would most likely watch the movie. Big names like hers usually draw in more people.

True.
True.
But big names trying to pull off characters who are fifty metaphorical feet taller than them is just sad.
So from what I found on tumblr, majority wantTeresa Palmer

or Claire Holt as Celaena

Drew Roy as Dorian
Sam Worthington as Chaol
[image error]
Kat Graham as Nehemia.

Personally, the only one I dislike is Sam Worthington as Chaol.
Claire Holt as Celaena would be awesome, actually. I can really see that - she's an amazing actress, gorgeous and she fits my mental criteria for Celaena.
I'm trying really hard to keep an open mind with her, and you're gonna think I'm crazy, but her hair and her chin irritate me. They don't look like Celaena.

I don't think you're crazy at all - everyone's entitled to their own opinions! Claire Holt's acting in Vampire Diaries is badass, witty and very like Celaena's assassin-persona in a way (although obviously not 100% accurate because no actress, I think, could truly capture that as well as Sarah's writing has.) True, not all aspects of her look how I imagined Celaena, but I'm open to her as an option.

WordlesslyAmazed03 wrote: "I like Drew Roy as Dorian, but everyone else? Not so much."Yeah, the Dorian choice is my favorite one out of the pack.
Teresa Palmer has been mostly in action movies so I understand why people would choose her, but I don't think she is pretty enough to be Celaena. Don't get me wrong, she is pretty, but she doesn't live up to my standards.
And it's clear tumblr is a bunch of Vampire Diaries lovers. ;)
Well, thank you. I think I'm a little closed minded on this because every time I read one of these posts, I have to read another bit of the book, which is making this difficult because it's freaking amazing,
Drew roy does look like the perfect Dorian. I don't agree with the rest though. Claire Holt seems too old, Teresa Palmer too perfect (how could she look like she's been in a mining prison for a year?) and Sam Worthington's face is too pudgy.

I was searching on Tumblr today and found this 'dream cast' member:
Tabrett Bethell as Celaena Sardothien

I like her. Never seen her in anything, so I don't know how good of an actress she is, but from the picture she seems to be a good option.
She's from the TV series Legend of the Seeker (she plays a badass assassin =D ) I like her acting there, but I do think she's a little old for Celaena..but she would work for an older version of her :)

The Mother of Dragons?
Approve!
...but, I feel like she naturally looks too innocent and docile to play Celaena.
Alyson Michalka as CELAENA!

Logan Browning as NEHEMIA!
Douglas Booth as CHAOL!
