I actually still go into stores and buy books, or I borrow them from the library that's what I usually do. I have an iPad, how do you get books or ebooks on it? Does it cost money? Also didn't Borders close down? In pretty sure there are no stores anywhere near me...

You can also download from various sites online but some of them are illegal--like if the book's not old and in the public domain (jane austen for instance is in the public domain) then it's probably illegal seeing as the author and publisher aren't making any $$$ off the download...
You can also download the kindle app and then read whatever's in your kindle library (like there are a TON of free books on amazon and you can "buy" those and then read them on the kindle app either on your phone or iPad or wherever you download the app). You can do this with ebooks at the library too but you got to use their app (overdrive, I think).
I really like ibooks for reading school stuff too cause it's got a search bar that you can just write any sentence or word in and it finds it anywhere in the book (also makes it easier to switch back and forth between audio and ebooks). Is it me or do i sound like a freaking infomercial? If so, sorry...
ETA yeah I think Border's did close down (that's how long it's been since I've needed to go to a bookstore, I guess).
I feel like their relationship was so forced in Throne of Glass that I will always have a bad memory of this ship.

I just finished QoS, this ship is still going strong for me. I feel like Aelin and Dorian have so much in common and I can totally imagine Aelin helping him through his grief and guilt phase (as to be expected after the whole collar and Sorscha thing) I hope Manon won't be a threat to this ship. I don't know how I feel about them but I don't want to know... I mean I feel like it's way too soon for Dorian to be involved with anyone else for now. Besides dorian and Manon just don't really feel right to me.

Yes exactly. I have no problem with Manon. I want her and Aelin to be good friends and by all means she can get along with Dorian too. But yes that's right they do not work as a couple.
Agree 100% Manon is one of my favourite characters too but just no... Besides I am incredibly afraid of the thought of Manon being queen! Also anyone things Aelin Havilliard has a nice ring to it?

You are driving me mad, guys haha. When I read this thread, I'm 10000000% Celorian, but when I check QOS scenes and the Manon & Dorian thread, I'm like "Hmmm, why not ?".

But let's think about it. If we want Celorian to happen, Rowan has to die - I don't see another way because they are too close to each other.
Plus, IF Rowan lives, and Aelin figures out that Dorian is her mate, this one has to be so very open-minded. Could you imagine your girlfriend communicating with another guy just by looking at each other ?
I just want Dorian to be happy, you know, to find a girl who thinks the world of him and just him.
It's still possible that Rowan would die. Maybe if Maeve decides to pursue fighting Aelin to get the wyrdkeys. Maybe Rowan will die to save Aelin. Lol. I'm getting crazy!!!
I don't think he has to die. I think if they break up, it will be a mutual agreement. Besides, Rowan is immortal and Aelin is not. I think she deserves to have a guy to grow old with. I agree I just want Dorian to be happy. It's my number one priority but so far I can't choose anyone else that I ship him with except for Aelin. I really don't want some insta love thing to happen again. It's the main reason why I didn't like him and Sorscha. It's also the reason why I was happy Celaena broke up with him in ToG. Although they were cute there, they're relationship was too rushed. We didn't see them becoming real friends first. We didn't see them care about each other like they do know. The thing about this Manon/Dorian now is that it seems so obvious that it will go this route. If they do end up together, it'll have to be a progressed relationship. And one thing I don't like about loves stories here is tht when the characters fall in love, they are just so head over heels that they forget their other friends. Like Chaol and Celaena, they basically just ignored Dorian most of the time. And When Aelin started having feelings for Rowan, I feel like she didn't try to mend her friendship with Chaol or didn't let Aedion into the loop about her plans. I mean you might disagree with me but that's just how I see it.
I think the reason Aelin didn't let anyone know her plans (even Rowan at time) was because she didn't want it to be used against her and she didn't want them to have fake reactions when things DID happen. Also I think because she has become so accustomed to doing things alone and having to be independent that she sees it as weakness in a way. She even says to Aedion that she doesn't NEED him to do things for her but he tells her that's not the point, the point is he is willing and waiting to help her and she needs to let people be there and not worry about things going wrong because she isn't the one diving head first into danger. The main thing about Celaena/Aelin is she may NEVER accept others willing to die for her, but she will always sacrifice herself for them. And I don't think she didn't care about Chaol or Dorian. She wanted to spare Dorian because she saw and knew NO OTHER WAY to help him and she wanted to grant him mercy. As for Chaol he was EXTREMELY put off and brooding over EVERYTHING and he wanted to blame her for all of their problems so, OF COURSE her being Celaena/Aelin she defended herself and said some things she didn't mean. She came off cold and cruel to Chaol because she was hurt by their past as well and when she spoke of Dorian in those moments of anger she said things out of spite towards Chaol to make him understand and hurt him too. I actually agree with some of the things he pointed out about while Aelin was away, she really did NOT think about anyone while she was in Wendlyn (which I completely understand because she needed to heal and accept herself) but Chaol didn't speak to her rationally, he accused her of terrible things and blamed her for all of the problems he was having which is NEVER going to get people anywhere and obviously he was taking things out on her because he probably felt left and forgotten as well. And of course it's just what Chaol does, especially since he couldn't accept her as Aelin.
No,I don't want Rowan to die! He's one of my favorite characters after Aelin (team Aelin!) and Dorian and Manon I don't know how to make of it, guess we have to wait for the next book. I still love this book series all the way! But no, Rowan I don't want you die Aelin needs you.
If Rowan died....I think a piece of me would forever die with him. I'm just as attached as Aelin! He's literally the other half of her soul!

Yeah I highly doubt Rowan will die. He, Aelin and Dorian are the most likely to survive. Rachel I so agree with you! Aelin and Dorian are like destined to be together. Aelin is fire and Dorian is ice. They've never hurt each other, (even when Aelin tried to kill Dorian she didn't manage to), Dorian has never judged Aelin for anything, even when she was Celaena, and I just can't accept that the original story Queen of Glass means nothing. If Aelin and Dorian end up together in QoG, I'm sure it'll be hard to let that go.
I just thought of something else! Rowan has powers of ice and so does Dorian. Here's something; what if Aelin and Dorian are freaking CARRANAM?! We just haven't been told yet?
*cue dramatic music* What if there is ANOTHER love triangle (groan) between Dorian and Rowan?! And that would be cool if Aelin and Dorian were also Carranam, though I have a feeling that Rowan would either rip him to pieces or Aelin will reject him. But if Rowan and Aelin break up (pray to the gods they won't) then Dorian would definetely be my second chance.
I honestly don't get why people have such problems with love triangles. I mean, I know they're cliche and all and yes they might be overused, but they're kind of relatable and realistic. You can't always expect to have one perfect guy (or girl, I'm just saying guy bc I think the majority of love triangles happen with one girl and two guys). There's nothing really wrong with using them. I just don't want Dorian and Manon to end up together, anything but that.
Haha, yes usually love triangles don't really bother me, it's just with the Throne of Glass series it's SO unpredictable, you don't know if this will happen or that will happen.

thank you! I like Rowan, but Rowaelin just doesn't work for me. They're both way too similar. I thought Chaol was perfect for Celaena as he balanced her out so well, but Dorian is perfect for Aelin. He understands and accepted her from the beginning and throughout all the revelations. Plus I have a feeling since they're both now rulers a political marriage would work in their favor. I can't see SJM giving the perfect HEA for everyone, aka Rowaelin. And Rowan is immortal and 300 years older than Aelin...I just love my sweet baby, Dorian!! <3 <3

Yes I'm the same. Doraelin is my first ship then Chaolin. I won't be devastated if Rowaelin ends up being endgame but yeah just not my choice. Yes and THANK YOU Rachel! Rowan is just too old and too similar to Aelin for them to have a romantic relationship it would just be wrong. Though if Awlin and Dorian end up marrying I don't want it to just be purely for political alliance, they must love each other too. Just imagine Aelin and Dorian ruling the United Terrasen and new, improved Adarlan as king and queen! Absolutely awesome!

I know! Rowan in my opinion isn't as great as everyone makes him out to be. And he was a later introduced character, I don't think he should be getting so much attention. For for main characters! Celaena, Chaol and Dorian! Fighting the evil king!
Yeah I think Maas should have focused more on the characters from book 1 and 2 but instead they get a smaller part...

Do you guys think that Aelin and Dorian are Gavin and Elena reincarnate?
Well Dorian is a descendant of Gavin so he could have like a lot of Gavin's genes or something so they are really similar. As for Aelin I don't know, she and Elena aren't physically related right? I know she's from Brannon's line but that's about it. I'll be rereading this series before the fifth book comes out - whenever it does.
