Also NONONO TO AELIN AND MANON!!! MANON AND ASTERIN!!!!!!!!! MANON AND ASTERIN FOREVER!!!"
they're cousins ?

they're super close though i loooveee it yknow as a family thing

yeah lmao they are best friends as well but it definitely says they're cousins in HoF lemme try to find a quote for you if i can

“Had it been another witch, Manon would have dragged her by the neck to the front of the room and made her regret the insolence, but Asterin . . .
Even though Asterin was her cousin...”

bless. it is a very unlikely ship but one we can hope for nonetheless.

Liz, I know he's getting his own POV *cries* but the review implied he's kinda left behind, so I'm assuming he's stuck in Wendlyn, though I don't doubt a reunion scene between them *cries again*
And I LOVE the Chaol/Dorian relationship! If all else fails and Chaelin really falls down the drain Chaol and Dorian have each other~

Also he can't be in Terrasan with her, since magic is blocked and all, says so in HoF.

Yeah but Aelin's animal form is a human and Rowan's is a hawk, remember?

but what you said about the allies thing is totally true, i'm really hoping Rowan gathers allies for her in Wendlyn before their reunion

I think the reunion is going to be towards the end, in a moment where Aelin realizes that while be a Queen of Shadows is a good way to accomplish her inmediate goals in the long run her people and kingdom need a queen of light. Or something like that.
While HoF put me off the Chaelin ship. I do still like Chaol and I'm rooting for him in QoS.
Chaol/Dorian BROTP!!!

Just returning to the main point :3

I think that they used the topic for discussing about all the characters except for Chaol lol

Do you guys think Chaol might become a commander ou something like that?

But when everything is sorted out between them and the boys are rescued, I see a lot of potential for Chaol to become a strong leader.

I feel like he did start to take a stand at the end of HOF. I mean, granted, it was one of the very last chapters, so it took him a while. I think we'll see more of his character developed in QOS.

“People screamed, and Chaol’s knees buckled. For a moment, he debated making a stand with his friend, right there and then.
But he knew that this had been the other trap. One for Aedion and Aelin, one for Sorscha. And this one—this one to draw out Dorian’s power.
Dorian had known it, too. Known it, and still walked into it so Chaol could escape—to find Aelin and tell her what had happened here today. Someone had to get out. Someone had to survive.”

Let's not even mention how useless Dorian has been these three books in fighting the king. He never took a stand against his father even though he is in a positivos of power to do so. Seems like Chaol is not the one afraid of leading....
My point is: I don't get why some people criticize Chaol for the same things they claim to love in other characters.

Let's compare Chaol who willingly gave up his title, land, all contact with his family, and chose to serve a ruthless tyrant to Aelin and Dorian. Dorian who was born into this life and has absolutely no choice in whether or not he wants to be king some day. He's not allowed to love the only two women he's ever loved because they are beneath his family's standards, he can't cause any scenes because his father is a ruthless dictator, and he absolutely hates his life at court yet can't leave. Notice how the first time he really stands up to his father his girlfriend gets beheaded and he gets possessed by a demon from another realm. So yeah, great idea. Dorian is totally in a position to speak up.
As for comparing Aelin to Chaol honestly, how dare you?
Chaol willingly left his family behind and gave up his title to become captain of the guard. No one forced him to do anything. Do you think Aelin wanted her parents to be brutally murdered when she was only eight years old? Do you think she wanted to wake up drenched in their blood at only eight years old? Do you think she wanted the weight of an entire kingdom on her shoulders at only EIGHT YEARS OLD? Chaol is a grown man, he's over 20 years old. He should've been able to differentiate right from wrong a long time ago. Aelin knows right from wrong and she's only 16 years old at the start of the story. Not to mention, Aelin has hated herself for years because of what the king did to her family. Little, precious Aelin who woke covered in her parent's blood with the responsibility of a kingdom now all on her. Of course she wanted to run away. Of course she didn't want to be Aelin anymore. She didn't want to be Celaena either but she didn't have much of a choice, did she? Everyone she's ever loved has either died or betrayed her and you have the audacity to compare her character development to that of a little boy who tossed away his parents and his title like they were nothing when Aelin would have given anything to grow up with parents and a title? That comparison doesn't even make any sense. Their characters haven't had anywhere near the same back story or development. Maybe when Chaol's character has developed to the point where you can actually draw comparisons then I'll take what you have to say into consideration.

I'll repeat: Chaol didn't choose to serve the king. Chaol chose the path to stay near his best friend, his brother, Dorian.
Also, it is clear to me that you are not a fan of his character, so why bother mating comments on a thread about him? ☺️ I am not trying to change your opinion or anything, but why bother with the hate on a thread supposed to be for people who love him?

(i am sorry for the spelling mistakes, but autocorrect is a bitch sometimes)
