We wanted to give the newer/independent authors a chance to shine spotlights on their dangerous hero writing. We know how hard it is to get your name out there, and we want to help authors who write in our arena of fiction.

Even if you are an established author, this is your opportunity to shine a spotlight on yourself as a member of the Dangerous Hero Addict Support Group who is also a writer.

Please let us know about yourself and what books you write that are in the dangerous hero arena. You may include links to your titles and your website and blog in your introduction post. Please let us know what genre/sub-genre you write in (aka UF, PNR, HR, Erotica, RS, Thriller/Mystery, etc).

This thread is not so much a promotional thread, but just an opportunity for members to get to know you and your writing.

**Please continue to use the promotions folder for giveaways and new events/releases. You may edit your original post to add a new title to your list of writing. Promos for new books/events will likely be deleted or removed if they are not appropriate to this thread.

Author Promotions Folder

Note to members, we strive to treat all authors with respect for their work and as fellow dangerous hero-lovers. Feel free to engage with the authors and ask them about their work or comment on any books by them you have read (but keep it constructive and positive).

All authors on the DHASG are welcome to add their books to the bookshelf, but please do not enter a read date.

Ashley (ashley1029) Hello everyone!

I'm Ashley Bucci (still working on getting the Goodreads author page up and going, author of Blood of the Fallen. It is the first in a ten book series featuring the heroine Lyla Haile. I was unsure if my hero vampire detective Micah truly qualified as a dangerous hero, especially in the first book, but I was adamantly assured he was so I decided to go ahead and post here. Looking forward to getting to know you guys.

P.S. Thanks for starting this thread Lady Danielle, great idea!

Welcome, Ashley! Glad you introduced yourself.

Debra Grzywna | 4 comments I have read this book and feel Micah fits the category. He's a vampire, so of course he's dangerous. He isn't as obviously badass as "The Black Dagger Brotherhood" vampires, but he doesn't sparkle either. He's obviously gorgeous, but comes across as a quiet loner. The qualifying characteristics increase in intensity as the book progresses. The ending left me wanting more. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.

Adriana Noir | 5 comments Hi all! I'm Adriana Noir. Both of my books contain a bad boy hero. Requiem Book of the Fallen (Requiem #1) by Adriana Noir is about a fallen angel with a huge chip on his shoulder and a possessive nature.

My new release, Sinister Kisses (SKALS, #1) by Adriana Noir is a dark, erotic thriller/contemporary romance. Sebastian is a very bad boy. His job is dangerous. He's dangerous, and even though he can be a real jerk, he's definitely got his redeeming qualities.

Thanks for listening to me blather. I look forward to meeting you all!

Sarah Castille Hi all

I'm Sarah Castille. I write erotic romance and I have a dangerous hero for you! My September release, Against the Ropes (Sourcebooks Casablanca) features a gritty, underground mixed martial arts fight club owner, Torment:
"All sleek muscle and restrained power, the man they call Torment plays to win at any cost. Whether it’s in the ring or in the bedroom, he knows exactly when to use a soft touch and when to launch a full-on assault. He always knows just how far he can push. And he’s about to tempt Makayla in ways she never imagined…"

You can check out my dangerous man candy cover at www.sarahcastille.com or on my Goodreads author page! I also have an erotic legal thriller coming out in April (Legal Heat) with a bad, but not as dangerous, law-type hero. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

It's called Lost in Shadow Lost in Shadow, A Shadow Walkers Novel (#1) by Cynthia Luhrs

C.D. | 5 comments Hello world!

I self-published my first novel just recently, a work of fiction I had finished over a year ago. My main character is a Sin Eater who is tasked with removing the evil committed by man from their souls so that it is left to linger on earth where it can continue to grow. A friend told me she knew she shouldn't like the main character, but she did anyway, so perhaps my dear Voro qualifies for this thread ...

Linda (lindabarlow) | 3 comments Hi folks!

I'm pretty new to Goodreads and new to this group, although when I saw the name of the group, I was glad to find it :) I've always been a sucker for the dangerous hero, both in the books I read and the books I write.

After taking a long break from publishing to do some other stuff in my life, I'm back, and loving the freedom of indie publishing. Most of my old backlist books have heroes who are at least a bit dangerous, and the new books I've been working on continue that trend. Fires of Destiny, my historical romance and the "book of my heart" is once again available as an ebook. Fires of Destiny . My heroine suspects, with good reason each time, that the hero might be about to 1. kill her and 2. force her. Of course he does neither...But I seem to love plots where he's edgy and dark enough for such things to seem *possible*...

Anyway, best wishes to all and glad to be here.

Gail Distefano | 8 comments Hi all!

I have recently published my first book called The Jaxon Effect. As many new authors who do not have the patience to wait for an agent or a publishing company to call I went Indie. So far the experience has been great but now comes the hard part. Selling my book to readers. There is a kindle version and an in print version on Amazon. Please take a moment if you would to take a look inside the kindle version to read a little bit of my book.
My Hero is named Jaxon Remington, a strip club owner from Manhattan who is tall, dark, sexy and oh so dangerous. During a visit to the ER he meets Dr. Kate Sims. The Chemistry between them burns up the pages. The story is edgy, sexy and fast paced. BY the end of the book you will be gagging for more. Good news... This book is a triology!

Violet Gregory (violetgregory) | 3 comments Hi, I'm Violet Gregory - I've just released Part 1 of Butterfly - a 12-part series (4 novels, each in 3 parts) full of dangerous heroes, including:

Hugh Fraser, the heroine's husband, who seemed sexy and charming, but completely reliable and respectable when they married, but turns out to have a secret past that he failed to mention.

Xavier Bishop, an old acquaintance of Hugh's who gives the heroine, Georgia Daniels, goosebumps every time they bump into each other.

Butterfly Part 1 is available on Amazon - Part 2 is due out at the end of September 2013. I'd love you to check it out and let me know what you think in a review.

A.C. Kavich (ackavich) The Twilight Swimmer by A.C. Kavich

Hello, I'm AC Kavich. I write in a few genres, but my most recent novel is a paranormal romance.

I think the hero of my novel qualifies as "dangerous" both for the forbidden nature of a romantic entanglement with a non-human, and due to the physical prowess inherent in his species - he can rough folks up if he needs to :)

I love this thread, btw. Thanks mods!

Hi Everyone!

I'm Sydney Somers and new to the group, but not new to dangerous heroes :) I'm pretty addicted to them and kickass heroines and most of the books I read and write reflect that, especially the paranormal romance ones.

My shape-shifter series features some sexy gargoyles with a fresh spin on Arthurian Legend:

Primal Hunger
Primal Attraction
Primal Pleasure

I also have a demon slayer series on the go which is pretty fast paced:

Unbreakable
Stripped Away
Storm Warning
Dark Obsession

And I have a series with witches who run a PI firm (My Spellbound series)and some other standalone books that definitely feature dangerous heroes.

Looking forward to talking about the books I'm reading with the rest of the group and getting to know everyone better :)

Brittany | 5 comments Hello everyone, I'm new to all this so please bare with me. My name is Brittany Ward-Gualemi and I have recently released the first of a three part series named Growing Down. I would classify this an erotic romance with a severely alpha male hero. The first book is called Bold Mine and it's about a twenty-three year old woman that loses her high school sweetheart of seven wonderful years only to fall for the over bearing, possessive bad boy. Though he has some redeeming qualities and never quite falls into the full abusive boyfriend category he walks a very fine line between too much and WAY too much. He's possessive, obsessive, and utterly controlling but for seem strange reason I love this character. It's now on Amazon Kindle and I'd truly like some feedback on the story line. Thank you each for any help you can offer and please consider adding me as a friend on Goodreads. I'd love to see what others are reading. A few of my favorites are Consequences, Stormfire, The Silver Devil and Captive in the Dark. Any suggestions for books similar to these I'd really appreciate. Bold Mine
