John | 3917 comments I started Lie Down with the Devil by Linda Barnes recently. I love C. J. Critt as a narrator, but I'm hearing (Margaret Maron's) Deborah Knott for the first person "I" of this series' protagonist, not Carlotta Carlyle.

Barbara Oh my, that happens to me too. I have an audiobook of A Christmas Carol read by Jim Dale. And, as talented as Dale is, I still occasionally hear one of his Harry Potter voices doing Marley, etc.

julie (maguire708) | 7 comments Yes. I hear Neville (of HP fame) in Tubby Ted (one of the Lost Boys) when I listen to Peter and the Starcatchers or Peter and the Shadow Thieves... Jim dale is wonderful, but his voices are so distinctive that I think the character who first "used" a voice (whichever character we, the listeners, heard first) sort of owns the voice for us.
