Bananas Foster from 25 Marvelous Microwave Desserts

This isn't as good as the real deal but it's still quite tasty!!

1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
2 teaspoons dark rum
2 bananas, sliced
1 cup vanilla ice cream

Instructions:

1. Combine the caramel and rum in a small bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds.

2. Arrange the banana slices in a medium bowl and drizzle 2/3 of the caramel mixture over top.

3. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle the remaining caramel on top.

4. Garnish with nuts, if desired.

Andrea | 2 comments Quickest easiest cupcakes ever...

One box cake mix plus one can of soda pop.

Limitless possibilities:
Vanilla/Rootbeer
Chocolate/Orange
Lemon/Sprite
Spice/Ginger Ale

They come out SO moist!

So you just mix the soda and the box mix then bake?

Judith Post | 116 comments I bought a cake mix to try this recipe on Saturday, but the boys freaked. No faith. Ended up making them pineapple upside down cake instead. Will have to try to add pop to cake mix when no one's around to see:)

Judith Post | 116 comments This sounds awesome. I can't have milk/milk products anymore (they don't like me), but I remember dips with love.

I wonder if soy or coconut yogurt would work just as well. That dip sounds so good it might be worth a try. :)

Judith Post | 116 comments I bet there's some way to cheat to make it:)

Janel Gradowski (janelgradowski) | 25 comments Isn't whipped topping non-dairy, too? :) I'm sure you can figure out how to get around the milk aspect. The recipe sounds too good to pass up!

message 16: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 116 comments There has to be something, but sometimes, it takes a few tries to get the consistency right.

message 17: by Janel (new)

Janel Gradowski (janelgradowski) | 25 comments I didn't think about consistency when using substitutions. If it turns out too thin maybe you could drain the yogurt in a lined strainer for a bit? Regular yogurt actually turns into a cream cheese texture if you drain it long enough, but I'm not sure how that would work with a non-dairy variety. You'll have to let everybody know how it works out if you give the recipe a try!

Judith Post | 116 comments I made an easy etouffe' when friends came over Friday night. Love easy, fast food that's a little impressive.

message 19: by Janel (new)

Janel Gradowski (janelgradowski) | 25 comments I had to look etouffe' up to see exactly what it was. I kind of knew, but wasn't positive. Did you use shrimp or some other kind of seafood?

message 20: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 116 comments Our friends love shrimp, so I used that, along with the andouille sausage and chicken.

Janel Gradowski (janelgradowski) | 25 comments That's sounds good. A little "something" for everybody.

A wonderful fruit dip that I love making (but not too often). Using a mixer, mix together until creamy a bar of cream cheese and one jar of marshmallow cream. This is Divine! Dip Apples, watermelon, grapes, strawberries or any other fruit of your choice. Trust me, make this with a platter of fruit for your next party and you will be a big hit! I heard about this from a friend years ago and not sure where she heard about it.

I have tried it as a frosting on a cake but I love it best as a fruit dip.

Judith Post | 116 comments My grandson called from college, and his brother is driving down to see him on Thursday. He asked me to send two pumpkin rolls and lots of homemade cookies with Nate. And a lot of pulled pork. He must be hungry:)
