Bee (justabluebee) I didn't know were to post it, so...

I would really love a cool lay-out for my blog, but I can't pay for it because 1) I don't have enough money and 2) even if I had, I can't pay with dollars and such...
Does anybody know somebody that does it for free?

Tana (tana_t) I don't know anyone who does it for free but you can download layouts for free on the web, I found a really cool site once. Don't know it though but I think I found it by searching google

Bee (justabluebee) Thanks anyway!
I played a bit with Photofiltre Studio X for my header and edited the rest with HTML codes from other blogs. So this is the result:

Marilyn Phillips Hi! I just visited your blog. I think it looks great.
I like the header you created and the the red tones.
When I started blogging, I started simple and then slowly added to it as I began to learn more. I watched a lot of Youtube videos which showed me how to add widgets and stuff.
My current design however, is not entirly my own. A friend asked if she could make a few adjustments, and I have to say, she did an awesome job.
Sorry, but I don't know of anyone who does it for free.

If you would like to check out my blog for some ideas as to what to add to yours, here's the link:

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments If you know how you can copy and past the HTML into a page and then use that format to substitute your own words. I used to do this but it is a lot of work so I don't do it for free and don't know anyone who does. It is something for me that was self taught and I used it in my job until I retired. But as I say, it is a lot of work, whether you learned it in school or on your own. You can get software that does this for you like Publisher I think, and others you could Google. Also expensive, however. Good luck!

Ruby Black (ruby_black) If you are looking to brush up on HTML and CSS, you can definitely try out these tutorials from W3C (they're the organization that decides on web standards)

Learn HTML and CSS for free

FYI: you are on the right road, study the HTML code from other blogs is a great way to learn design. Just make sure you are looking at blogs following web standards and usability.

So, far you have the right idea :) I like the buttons in the header for sure - great design choice.

I'm working as web developer/designer as my daytime job. Be happy to answer questions.

Also, you might want to join http://stackoverflow.com/, it is a great place to ask/search questions regarding code, layout, anything tech related actually. Ppl there are super helpful as well.

Good luck and hope that helps :)

chucklesthescot I like the graphic choices on Blogger where my blog is. It's not as good as some professional sites but I like it! And it's damn easy to use for technophobes like me!
