I just can't get my head around the ending!! Do you think that it is true? I hope that she can bring him back somehow. I have grown to like him! lol

I think she will. He has magic so the lilies should bring him back. Oh god I hope they bring him back!!! What I want to know though is if his magic will change after the fact, or if he will just stay the same.
I think that it will, I mean why would she kill him off if she didn't want to have something big happen to him when he comes back? I hope that he keeps his current magic but she adds to it in some way.
Of couse, she'll bring him back!! She is smart and powerful!! ^^ I think Maria V. Snyder, just wanted to make us all worried abt wht will happen to Kerrick! A nice drama she gave us on the end of the book!! ^^
I think the Lillies will bring him back but changed somehow.

Finished reading it yesterday and was so upset about the ending that I couldn't start a new book till this evening. What a shocker! And to think we have to wait till December for the next book. Nooooo!! I really hope a Lily saves him or that the forest does it in some way because of his magic.
Yeah, for he it would totally ruin the series if he dosn't come back...
This is why I should wait for the whole series to be out before I start reading it. Every time I break that rule I regret it.

I think he is going to be the one to kill Tohon in the end, so...No, not dead yet!
But... I will be very,very upset if Kerrick is well and trully dead. It just doesnt compute:(
having brought up Tohon, is he dead or not? I get that Avry stabbed him (i shouted in joy at that point) but was he just badly injured in the end or did he die?
He would have died. But the other guy (can't remember his name right now) froze him. They apparently want to find someone to fix him so they can bring him back.
but I though Seb was working for whatsherface with the Ufas, not to mention his loyalties were always kind of dodgy
Yes he was, BUT she is in love with Tohon. Pluss if they want to make any more of the desd they will need him. She did say that she likes being "quean" so she may or may not bring him back. I think they will bring him back, he plays a big part in this book to not bring him back. Just the same for Kerrick, I don't know if I can finish reading if he isn't back.... :(
yeah if something happens to Kerrick I don't know what will happen. I normally don't mind if authors kill off main characters but I'm far too attached to Avry and Kerrick to be able to read that and still be ok
Nah , I think she will bring him back , but maybe he will have the winter magic(just a thought) , I hope he get to keep his forest magic though :)

Yes I do remember someone saying she looked 'green'...hmmmm. Maybe that is why she is always wanting to feel the forest? I had thought she was doing it because of Kerrick, but she may be doing it for the baby? Ohh now I am excited..lol

Wow i hadn't considered that she was pregnant but it must happen at the end of the book because surely she would know being a healer during the book and she doesn't reunite with Kerrick till then.
surely it would have pronounced itself during the book. I mean Scent of Magic is set over months isn't it? wouldn't she have a bump already?

Not to mention that after breaking pattern and writing from the love interest's point of view I can't really see Snyder going to all the effort to build him up just to sacrifice him. Unless she broke her pattern to make his death more tragic after we've followed his perspective a little.
But no, I think the lily will take him and have to keep him for a while. I suppose it's just another excuse to get him out of the story for a bit so their relationship doesn't have to actually grow. I don't understand why this author is so averted to writing about a couple who are actually in the same place during the book.

I think it is just how she appears to others. Kerrick changes eye color and other parts of his appearance when he connects to the forest magic. I think Avry is just working (or was working) the magic Kerrick gave off onto her. So thereby she looked green. However, I would love to see these two have babies especially after Kerrick stated he would give the thrown to his brother and stated he would do such.
I was freaking out when I finished this book!!!!! I can't wait to read the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
