((Lol it's fine; I should be doing homework anyway. :/))
Asher smiled, before sending out a sharp whistle. Falom came trotting out of nowhere, his black muzzle smeared with blood. "Got your breakfast already, Falom?" She asked teasingly, before taking out the pouch of dirt. She lowered it to his nose, and he took in a good whiff. "Falom, lead us back." She said, and he lowered his nose to the ground and began to track back to the trail.

Séreméla found some cobwebs in a broken log and wrapped them around her and Borës wounds. she knew that she could not leave because of Borës wounds so she gathered some sticks and logs and started a fire.
Jadran almost forgot about Falom since he was silent as a shadow. He waited for Falom to catch the scent of the trail, and while he stood there, he wondered how he would approach his mother, if he ever got that far.
((I was thinking that Jadran will eventuall get arrested in Delven Brooke and from there they'll need to find evidence to clear his name. Do you think that's okay?))

((Yup! I love it!))
After a few short minutes of tracking, they reached the trail. Asher set Blu onto it, and began walking, taking out the map. "Three more forks in the rode and we're there." She said brightly.

((Coolio! ^_^))
He smiled as he walked along. "I can't believe I'm almost home again," Jadran said softly, getting a little choked up. But he quickly cleared his throat and pushed away any emotions. He shouldn't get his hopes up.

Asher blinked slowly, hoping this event wouldn't be too emotional. She wasn't good with that kind of stuff. She imagined living in Delven Brooke, but quickly cleared the thought away. Her appearance alone would get her kicked out in a second, and even if she was allowed to stay she wouldn't be able to handle all the horrible stares she would receive.
Jadran was silent for a moment, then he asked hesitantly, "Asher? Can you tell me, um, why you're alone? You know, without you're parents?"

Asher scrunched up her face in distaste for the topic, but nodded. He told me most of his past, I should return the favor. She let out a breath of air.
"Well, my parents were trained assassins that lived in a sort of traveling elf pack or something. They would go around killing people for money and stuff." She looked at his face, trying to read Jadran's facial expression. "But before you think anything about them, they may have killed, but they were the best parents I could have had." She cleared that up straight away.
"My mom got pregnant, and she, my father, and another friend of theirs came into here and built a small house. If the officials found us, we would be dead. I was born safely, though. I stayed in that shack for the longest time while they did their work, but my parents trained me to be an assassin." She smiled lightly. "I liked to hang around the wolves of the forest a lot. Not play with them, just watch. My dad stole a wolf pup and named him Falom, and gave him to me to keep me company." She nodded to the wolf who was trotting loyally at her side. "But they were gone a lot." She felt a lump rise in her throat. Here came the bad part. "When I was fourteen they came back rather early from one of their.... jobs. Their friend wasn't with them, but they told me that they were leaving for awhile, because they had to travel to a different Delven. They assured me that I can take care of myself, and then they left." Asher kicked a stone as she walked. "If I had just noticed how shaky their voices were...." She whispered that part to herself, before clearing her throat. "So, yeah. Then two years later I was in town, and heard two people talking about the last public execution. Apparently they stopped doing them because other people seemed to be doing all the killing themselves. But from word of mouth I found out that my parents had been beheaded in the main square for eighteen accounts of murder." She shrugged lightly, staring at the ground and kicking another stone out of the way. Falom had his ears down, and looked up at Asher and whined lightly.

He stopped in his tracks, head down. His unseeing grey eyes gave the false impression that he was looking at Falom. He was still, and for a moment, Jadran felt abashed. "I'm sorry about y-your parents. I didn't mean to touch on a sensitive subject," he said softly. Rubbing his fingers over his walking stick, he frowned and added, "My problems seem insignificant to what you had to deal with."
"That's not true." She said, head snapping up. "My parents don't think I'm an outlaw. They were proud of me, and that's all I can ask. So I'm going to help you make your mother proud of what you've done." She said firmly.
Jadran smiled, though he had a sense of foreboding. But a friend to help him was better than he could ask for, especially when it felt like for all those years he lost what it was like to be around other elves. He gave a nod and straightened his shoulders, his mouth changing into a determined line. "Thank you, Asher," he said sincerely.
"No need to thank me," She said, this time smiling. "It's nice to leave Delven Shadow after such a long time. I never really felt at home there..."
He nodded in agreement. "Delven Shadow isn't a homey, comforting place in general, so I wouldn't expect anyone to really call that place anything but a place to stay," he agreed. "But if you need a place to stay at while we're in Delven Brooke, you're welcome to stay with me," he added hesitantly.
Asher looked up at him awkwardly. "That'd be cool." She said, but the prospect of simply being in Delven Brooke made her giddy. "I wonder if I'll ever come back here." She said, eyes gazing around the forest.
Jadran cocked his head, a brow raised. "I think you can come back here anytime you want. It's not as if many people go to Delven Shadow on purpose, so I don't think nothing will stop you from coming back," he commented.
She laughed lightly, raising an eyebrow herself. "Why would I want to come back?" She asked him in a slightly teasing manner. But her voice changed into a rather serious one. "I'd like to maybe visit and make things better here. Maybe get some form of government to make lives safer." She shrugged.
He looked thoughtful, thinking over her words. "I don't know what Delven Shadow looks like, but it seems to me it once was beautiful. I wonder what had happened to it so it became the shadow it is," he said. "Perhaps after we clear my name, we can find out what happened to Delven Shadow and fix it."
Asher nodded. She hadn't thought of the idea that something had occurred to cause the horrible place that was Delven Shadow. "So what caused you to be accused of... whatever it was you're wrongly accused of?" She asked, shoving her hands into her pockets.
((Hehe, I feel glad I thought of something they can do after they clear Jadran's name. ^_^ I like Asher and Jadran's adventure so far.))
"I've been accused of murdering Oropher Elanessë. Apparently I strangled him with my bare hands, then stabbed him multiple times and dumped him on the shore of the lake in Delven Brooke," Jadran answered bluntly, remembering the council's harsh words. "Since I was so young, I didn't get the death penalty. It was either life imprisonment or banishment."
((I went the name generator, typed in "Bob Evil" and that's what I got. :P))

"Man, when you kill, you really get the job done." She said, eyes wide with humor. "Did they conduct an autopsy on the body, so they know for a fact that was how this guy died? Not just natural causes?" Asher supplied, making short hand gestures. "That would be the easiest way out. Though I'm not sure if they could even do an autopsy after however long that body has been festering in the ground." She shivered at the though.
((I normally use Bob Jenkins for most name generators. XD But Bob Evil is gold.))

((Thanks! Bob Jenkins sounds very sophisticated compared to Bob Evil, though. ))
Jadran briefly looked amused, appreciating her humor. Then his face turned more serious. "Yes, the body did, um, lay on the lakeside awhile. But someone said that they saw me leave the lake a couple days before his body was discovered. The amount of time for a body to, um, decay. Also, apparently a bracelet that I've worn since childhood was found by his body."

((It's a shame they don't have the technology to test for fingerprints yet. ^_^))
"Well that doesn't put us off to a good start. Do you remember where you lost your bracelet? Like if it was stolen or something?" She offered up some questions that might help them. So far she decided it would take more work than she thought it would to get her friend's name cleared.

((Indeed. Poor Jadran.))
He bit his lip and worry creased his brow. "Well, you see, the reason why I was at the lake was because I was searching for that bracelet. I thought it was simply lost, but now it seems that it was purposely taken to frame me."

((How will they prove his innocence? Just curious.))
Asher frowned once more. "That's not good." She gazed around. "We'll sort things out once we get there." She decided.
((Should we cross into the topic with the border or whatever??))

((Not sure... Find out that someone did frame him. Perhaps the one who gave witness did it and stole Jadran's bracelet. Maybe he framed Jadran because of jealousy and hatred towards Bob.))
Sighing, Jadran's grey-blue eyes forward, unseeing. "I hope so. It would be a relief to get this off my chest."
((I'm not sure. The border of where, exactly?))

((Let me check the border topics briefly before I reply.))
((Okay, there is a "border" topic under Delven Brooke's folder. I'm thinking we do a quick fork-in-the-rode scene and then transfer into there. They can spend one or two nights in that topic, then transfer into Delven Brooke's city topic.))
Asher nodded. "No one deserves to be punished for something they didn't commit." She agreed. She took out the piece of parchment that contained the inked in map of the Delvens, and smiled. "Only another half an hour until we leave this ruddy place. Then we'll get into the bordering area in Delven Brooke." She announced.

((Alrighty then. :) ))
He smiled and felt a glimmer of hope despite his efforts to eliminate it. "I can't believe I'm this close," he said softly. A memory floated into his mind of him and his mother sitting reading together. It seemed like things would never be the same.

She folded the map away neatly, trekking onwards. Blu looked slightly worn down for the day, but she had been gaining weight, which was a good sign.

After twenty minutes of walking, they reached a fork in the road. Asher turned to Jadran. "We turn left right here." She informed him, guiding Blu by her halter towards the split in the path.

Nodding, he followed her carefully, his walking stick out.
((To the border! *points dramatically*))

He had bent down to gather the blankets he dropped from before. Handing them to her as he adjusted the strap of his pack, Jadran nodded. "Yeah, I'm ready."
